Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?
vanity | April 21, 2007 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 04/21/2007 6:42:25 PM PDT by Jim Robinson

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.

One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to “rule” over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.

All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.

FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?

Do you really expect me to do that?

All you have to do is look back through my posts to see who I support. I purposely am not telling you outright because you insinuated that my remarks against the slander of Cheney were made as some backhanded way to support my candidate. Don’t try to turn another poster’s “disgusting” behavior back on me. You are only looking petty by doing this.

You really are missing the point here. It wasn’t anything to DO with the “platform.” It was the candidates who got crushed, and they were extremely conservative. DeWine had an ACU rating of 86, and Blackwell was far, far more conservative than him.

“JIM ROBINSON AS THE NEW JOSEPH FARAH - STABBING THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT IN THE BACK”

“Rudy giuliani” and “conservative movement” are two phrases that don’t belong in the same sentence, unless you are saying “Rudy Giuliani will destroy the conservative movement”.

Clearly another raging case of Rudiphilia nervosa.

You're too funny, but "Rudiphilia nevosa" won't harm your health as much as sitting behind the keyboard suffering from "Blimpus Freepatoa".

That made me laugh.

Did you enjoy LS calling that slanderous?

I mean really have you seen one of his supporters say, 'Yes, Rudy is pro-abortion.

They'd probably get further just saying who he really is, the liberals would rush out to vote for him.

I've seen them call Rudy pro-choice, a little pro-choice, and more pro-life than pro-choice. It's crazy. The man is pro-abortion, they should just own up to it and quit trying to make excuses for him on that issue.

Me too, even recently about his partial birth abortion stand, "He didn't really mean what he said"

When he stood up before Naral and said :

"Thank you very much for inviting me to say a few words of welcome. This event shows that people of different political parties and different political thinking can unite in support of choice. In doing so, we are upholding a distinguished tradition that began in our city starting with the work of Margaret Sanger and the movement for reproductive freedom that began in the early decades of the 20th century.

As a Republican who supports a woman's right to choose, it is particularly an honor to be here. And I would like to explain, just for one moment, why I believe being in favor of choice is consistent with the philosophy of the Republican Party. In fact, it might be more consistent with the philosophy of the Republican Party. Because the Republican Party stands for the idea that you have to restore more freedom of choice..."

To me that is SOOO outrageous. And using the Republican party in a speech praising Margaret Sanger.

Flashbunny;, remember this quote.

But you will be disappointed if you think that the crude, illiterate "goon squad" you have allowed free rein around here (dmw, narses, dirtboy, extremely extreme extremist, ReaganMan and several others - if I have FORGOTTEN anyone, SO SORRY) will elevate the level of intellectual debate.

I'm still not on your list. Now, Al, what did I ever do that would make you like me enough to leave me off your crude, illiterate "goon squad" list? I'm crude! I'm illiterate! I'm a goon! I demand my rights, Al.

Oh well... I'll just have to consider myself one of the "several others" and live with that. I feel so ashamed for not living up to my potential in Al's eyes.

Sorry, don’t see it that way. My concern about Rudy (or any Republican) taking my gun is about a 5 on a scale of 100. My concern about another terrorist attack is an 80.

You know, you’re a nice person, and have been a positive influence on several threads that I have seen, but you really need to grow a thicker skin if you are going to play on the Internet.

You’ve shrieked around here for days now that people are out to get you, ban you, or dis you. I’m sure that there is a little truth in this - we’re having a bit of a feeding frenzy on this thread. But what it is is what it is. You’re dealing with all kinds of personalities and not very well.

Before you go too far or say too much, you might want to duck out of this one. Let it go. There is still plenty to see & do at FR.

Good luck to you.
