We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
Btw...I’m still deciding, in no particular order except for the to choice...
Fred Thompson
Duncan Hunter
Tancredo (for shedding light on illegal immigration)
and my sleeper pick for Thompson’s VP:
...Jim Gilmore from Virginia
*We have the debates coming up soon and
Thompson on Hannity tonight.
If you think only 30-40 posters are gone, you are pretty clueless.
Your post indicates that you don’t care if this becomes a third party site. So, I’m sure you’ll continue with the purification efforts. Have at it.
I have the answer from you that I expected.
I’d like to hear the answers to the two questions I posted. I believe that one can be conservative, and do what they can to promote the conservative cause, but I also believe that when the ballot box has a D and an R, I should not be insulted for choosing R, when I feel that is the best option.
I don’t know how cold a glacier is, but I do know you wouldn’t want your horse to be on one. Very dangerous for horsey and they can also be quite dangerous for humans too. ;)
“Your post indicates that you dont care if this becomes a third party site.”
I did not say that or allude to it; and there certainly is no logic that brought you to that faulty conclusion. But if you need a boogeyman, feel free. Some have hinted that they expected better of you, apparently they expected too much.
You can think whatever you like, Reagan Man. I’m done defending myself against your attacks.
WOOOHOOO!!! I thought I heard yesterday on a Fox News ad-blurp, that Fred Thompson would be on Hannity & Colmes. But when he wasn't on last night, I figured I heard wrong. I assume you are talking about the Hannity & Colmes show?
Nobody but the gnatsies.
:-)
nice red herring, there hasn’t been a single poster on this thread that was kicked off that I have seen for being an economic liberal, 99% of FReepers are not economic socialists. The issue that has distinguished all of the people that are persona non grata are those pushing socially liberal viewpoints, and saying that Rudy is acceptable or even the preferred nominee.
My point is that libertarians are typically fiscally conservative, and socially liberal. They are the very people that are part of the FR community that this thread was intended to silence from stating those views.

Yes on Hannity tonight at 9PM EST...and that other Colmes guy too lol.
I’m looking to see how everybody does in this debate. Although my stakes are with Thompson, I’m still sort of undecided...(silently thinking: has to be a way to get a bet here for some of that wild red salmon)
No attacks. I simply posted your own words. So STOP whining. Your own words defined who you are. My job was to expose you for being a "future" RudyBooster and that I did. Thanks for playing. In this debate, your head was handed to you on a platter. I enjoyed every minute of it too. Your insults at #17405, not withstanding.
I think the reconciliation is starting to work
This thread is certainly a tragic/comic epic.... and as Dog Gone said pathetic
I see now. You're a strong supporter of a party with total lack of leadership and principles. How could I think otherwise?
Why wouldn't you be?
Certainly you weren't alluding that you'd do anything but support that party, 17,000+ posts on this thread to the contrary.
You just can't post idiotic stuff and then pretend to be the victim.
Either defend the crap you post, or recant it, but don't pretend that we can't read it.

Wonderful!! I'll have to record it. Don't you think Colmes looks like a ventriloquist's dummy? LOL
Gosh, if you lived closer, I'd just give you some Copper River reds. I give lots of them away to friends. :)
The number of FR people who signed up at Wide Awakes since this thread started is between 350 and 400...Not bad for a weeks work
What about cookies?! Cookies have a lot of value. They bring out humor, too. One might go so far as to make up appropriate statistics to prove this. Three out of five people have improved humor function after eating only one cookie. Four out of five posters actually get the giggles after two cookies. Only one in ten can eat a hot, fresh peanut butter cookie and still remain a grumpy old fascist pigdog.
Me: “its the GOP that is totally lost right now. Total lack of leadership and principles.”
I see now. You’re a strong supporter of a party with total lack of leadership and principles. How could I think otherwise?
Me: “Exactly. I’d rather fight than switch... Not rocket science.”
Either defend the crap you post, or recant it, but don’t pretend that we can’t read it.
Me: “Be more specific if you want to debate,,,I don’t recant anything.”
That WA site is the most disorganized mass of html I’ve ever seen. Enjoy your stay.
I don’t think the word, “reconciliation”, as used here has the same meaning as the one in the dictionary. I know what the excuse was to keep this thread going when it became tragic/comic/pathetic, let it play out and all that, but if one of my sons had given me that excuse for allowing a brawl to take place in our home, they’d have been severely disciplined for it. Bad behaviour shouldn’t be condoned anywhere, IMO, and heaven forbid, in front of the neighbors (i.e. the rest our cyberspace neighbors).
It’s not unusual for a new website to have some flaws in the format. I doubt FR had the same format it has today when it was a fledgling forum/website. Just think of all the good people that made FR as well known as it is today. Without their assistance in posting articles and comments, spreading the word, supporting it financially, this site would have gone nowhere. They deserve a lot of credit for the past success of this site.
