Will FR embrace socialism to make way for Rudy Giuliani as a Republican presidential candidate?

We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?

Private comments could just as easily be handled by internal email if anyone wishes to keep it quiet. We do that here at FR all the time.
Thank you. Private comments are really not the issue. Changing hearts/minds/thoughts to save the Republic are important tho.

"The general incivility, profanity and personal attacks that have pervaded this thread and spilled over to others recently. It needs to stop. I'm not the only one calling for this. People should not feel afraid to fact check. Other than that, I don't have a problem."
So...How do you explain Howlin?

Enough of your silly questions, and false accusations.
Please point to any false accusation I've made on this thread.
Your flame wars dont work anymore.
MY flame wars? Funny, I don't think I've been involved in many flame wars on Free Republic. I've always been respectful to other FReepers, haven't used profanity, and haven't personally attacked another FReeper.
Didnt you get the memo?
Nope. I must not be on the circulation list.

So...How do you explain Howlin? Not only that, but how do you hold me responsible for your personal attacks? Is it the same law of physics that explains how this thread caused an anti-freeper site more than a month before this thread existed?

>> The only thing I supposedly “pretended” not to know is what an “anti-FReeper” is. A number of posters keep calling WideAwakes an “anti-FReeper” website without explaining what they mean by that. And I HONESTLY have never heard that phrase before this thread. I wasn’t around here in the Clown Posse days. <<
The term “anti-freeper” has been around since probably 1999. Free Republic has always had disaffected members who went and started their own forum to compete with and/or bash Free Republic. These anti-freepers *usually* left on bad terms with the Boss or out of political differences. The vitriol has normally been pretty intense, so the term “anti-freeper” has worked pretty well to describe those who left in a huff. For as long as I’ve been here.

She gave as good as she got, sometimes giving before she got it. That's not the way I try to conduct myself. But she also was a long-time FReeper whose contributions were invaluable to this website for years. In the aggregate, her contributions will be missed by many, including me.

Your right of course. DC is a well designed and run site. It is interesting the Admins and Mods actually post their screen names. I think most of the FR bashing is coming from leftovers of the evo wars.

And which personal attacks would those be?

Her old, old posts from a time when she contributed something positive can still be found in the archives. That hasn’t changed. But it didn’t buy her the right to use Free Republic as a launching pad for her attacks against conservative values.

Sounds like a worthy goal to me. That is what this site is all about.

“Do you realize some very thoughtful FReepers in good standing are members of WideAwakes? Does that make them “anti-FReepers”? Isn’t that insulting to them? Is name calling really necessary..”
I could care less where you post, but that place is eaten up with the liberal malcontents who’ve been banished. I won’t register and post there. I’m happy to be rid of them. I’ve fought with most of them for years.
I don’t consider them “thoughtful”, although that and “smart” are too of the labels liberals often like to use for themselves.
You use the “conservative” label to describe yourself. I hope that we will eventually find something to agree on once this is all over. No Wideawakes forum for me.

For crying out loud do you people ever just speak truth?
That sentence is descriptive of the countless thousands of hours of our time you have wasted on your endless circular nonsense.

When you deliberately make false accusations against another, that is a personal attack. If you have any evidence to back up your lies about me using profanity and making personal attacks against freepers, post it. Attacks against anti-freepers don’t count.

Read her last posts. She is one very angry person.
"But she also was a long-time FReeper whose contributions were invaluable to this website for years."
That is very true.
However, she's become very absusive of late.
That isn't very attractive at all.
"In the aggregate, her contributions will be missed by many, including me."
I know that she's been a stalwart here.
However, she's been very nasty, too.
She's run more people off of the forum than anyone I know.
Count me as one.

Who is "you people"? I speak for myself, and ONLY myself.

Thousands of hours? I haven't posted on this thread that much for you to "waste" thousands of hours.

Jim:
Someone posted upthread that the folks at WideAwake are all bent out of shape over EV and are targeting him. I don’t have the time to find that post.
