We've got some real challenges facing us. FR was established to fight against government corruption, overstepping, and abuse and to fight for a return to the limited constitutional government as envisioned and set forth by our founding fathers in the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution and other founding documents.
One of the biggest cases of government corruption, overstepping and abuse that I know of is its disgraceful headlong slide into a socialist hell. Our founders never intended for abortion to be the law of the land. And they never intended the Supreme Court to be a legislative body. They never intended God or religion to be written out of public life. They never intended government to be used to deny God's existence or for government to be used to force sexual perversions onto our society or into our children's education curriculum. They never intend for government to disarm the people. They never intended for government to set up sanctuary cities for illegals. They never intended government to rule over the people and or to take their earnings or private property or to deprive them of their constitutional rights to free speech, free religion, private property, due process, etc. They never intended government to seize the private property of private citizens through draconian asset forfeiture laws or laws allowing government to take private property from lawful owners to give to developers. Or to seize wealth and redistribute it to others. Or to provide government forced health insurance or government forced retirement systems.
All of the above are examples of ever expanding socialism and tyranny brought to us by liberals/liberalism.
FR fights against the liberals/Democrats in all of these areas and always will. Now if liberalism infiltrates into the Republican party and Republicans start promoting all this socialist garbage, do you think that I or FR will suddenly stop fighting against it? Do you think I'm going to bow down and accept abortionism, feminism, homosexualism, global warming, illegal alien lawbreakers, gun control, asset forfeiture, socialism, tyranny, totalitarianism, etc, etc, etc, just so some fancy New York liberal lawyer can become president from the Republican party?
Do you really expect me to do that?
>>Mind if I borrow that? :)<<
Of course, not - borrow away.
h, you should bold “BEFORE” plugging them back in. LOL I was told your advice after I waited three weeks to get me computer back from the shop. I was also told that I should have never turned it back on after the AJ spilled into the keyboard. Gwen, you listening?
I was serious. Bring the gel back to liquid form. Howdy!
Not for long the way they're getting picked off. And of course, we're taking care of a lot of the evo retreads, too.
So then...only those who agree with YOU get a free pass for being uncivil?
***No.
Being uncivil is ok, as long as one agrees with what they are saying?
***No.
Go back and re-read the post. FA got banned because he wasn’t civil. How you can read that into what I say is a mystery; you’re looking for something to counter what I say and the only thing you can find is that when you twist what I say, there’s an opening. That’s straw argumentation.
“So why not just ask all rudy bot trolls to leave?”
The preferred method is to leave the bug zapper on and let them go to the light. It is an amazing thing to watch, it’s humane because they do it themselves. There are still lots of Giuliani supporters on FR. But the RudyBotTrolls are a unique group.
There are still quite a few out there, but there being drawn in by their own accord.
No, not until you prompted me. It's great! Thanks for pointing it out.
Thanks. I’m going to try it!
I know, don’t try catching up. I gave up. The important thing is that the troll is gone from monopolizing the thread with scifi proposals.
I've killed quite a few keyboards. If it was straight coffee (no sugar, no cream), you should be okay. A hairdryer on cool should help. But there is a layer of plastic film on the whole base of the keyboard so you shouldn't use (hot)heat on it. Or... you could just let it dry on it's own.
In my case, I dumped a mocha latte. There wasn't much hope. I tried rinsing it out (even dunked the darn thing in the bathtub as a last resort, lol. Now I keep a couple keyboards handy as backup. :-)
LOL!
That was an excellent post, mark! You summed it up quite nicely.
I was on the evo pinglist, cause I liked to read the science stories...
GenuineChocolateFace is gone, too, as well as oceanview.
And I had to miss all the fun. :(
Tea-Spitter...;0)
“h, you should bold BEFORE plugging them back in.”
Good point.
I also repair guitar tube amplifiers, and the words ‘BEFORE PLUGGING IT BACK IN’ are very much in use when talking to someone about any repairs.
“I was also told that I should have never turned it back on after the AJ spilled into the keyboard.”
Yep. Should have unplugged it, washed in the sink (actually if the OJ was fresh you could have rinsed it really well), blow dry it, plug it back in and THEN turned on the computer.
Ah, well. That’s how we learn life’s little lessons..
;0)
Wow. Thank you!!!!
