Prayer Request for JulieRNR21's Husband Richard (Update Post: #514)
15 October 2006
Posted on 10/15/2006 2:57:48 PM PDT by NautiNurse
Prayers requested for our stalwart FReeper JulieRNR21 and her beloved husband Richard. Richard is scheduled for surgery midday Monday in Sarasota for removal of a malignant tumor from his stomach. Previously, Richard was treated quite successfully for lower GI cancer. This new tumor appears to be unrelated to the initial malignancy (different cell type).
Julie, we are keeping you and Richard in our prayers.

Dear Freeper Friends:
We want to express our appreciation on this Thanksgiving Day to each one of you for your continued prayers and support.
Richard saw his Lung Specialist yesterday and got a good report on his progress in recovering from the effects of pneumonia. He no longer needs nebulizer treatments and the x-rays show improvement. He continues to gain strength and stamina from to the various therapies he receives.
Richard and I sat outside the Rehab Center this afternoon in the warm Florida sunshine and reflected on how much we have to be grateful for on this special day.
I had attended two services in the past 24 hrs.....an interfaith Thanksgiving service sponsored by a Jewish Temple and a Presbyterian Church last evening and a Thanksgiving Liturgy in our Catholic church this morning.
Please know that we also pray for you and your families.
With our Love & Gratitude,
Julie & Richard

Much to give thanks for!
You're in my thoughts and prayers, dear friends.
I dried out the wishbone. I'll pull it today and wish for a more-than-speedy recovery.
I can't lose on my wish because I'm pulling each end of the wishbone myself, LOL.

Dearest FReeper FRiends:
We are blessed to report that Richard was discharged from the Rehabilitation Center today and is now at home.
He will be getting additional therapy and some visiting nurse care at home for the next few weeks.
We wish to express our gratitude to our Divine Physician for His Healing Grace.
And also to all you steadfast FReeper Prayer Warriors for your prayers which have sustained us both during this challenging experience. We ask for your continued prayers for Richard's complete healing.
With God ....All things are possible.
With our sincere affection & appreciation,
Julie & Richard
PS: I had told Richard about this prayer thread. He is thrilled to be able to read your posts.
Psalm 103; 1-5
Bless the LORD, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name! Bless the LORD, my soul; do not forget all the gifts of God, Who pardons all your sins, heals all your ills,
Delivers your life from the pit, surrounds you with love and compassion, Fills your days with good things; your youth is renewed like the eagle's.
