Rush reports that a Cessna has been reported as crashing into (at least one) apartment complex in NYC Mannhattan's upper east side - on East 71st Street.

Shep Smith at Fox says people have no water and food and are starving. LOL!!

And Wolf Blitzer at CNN described the victims as being "so poor and so black."

Fox had an eyewitness from a nearby building who claims she saw the craft just before it hit. She seemed intelligent and rational, and she absolutely insisted it was an airplane. Period.

This eyewitness report will be ignored in the upcoming "Loose Change III".

If this was a terrorist attack, it was a lousy one.

If it was a four- or six-seater general aviation aircraft, you're talking about a maximum of maybe 3500 pounds weight, moving at maybe 100-120 mph. A nasty impact, but not something that would do massive structural damage to a building like that. Basically, think a fast-moving car with lightweight wings that'll crumple on impact.

I also want to know, but a small plane won't necessarily be followed by air traffic controllers with id and such. They are going to have to figure out what type of plane it is and then check airports within flight range.

Of course, I am not an expert and will defer to people who now more than I.

The fire is pretty much out now. Helicopters are being kept at least 1 mile away.

WCBS-TV's helicopter (which took that picture) was under LGA tower at the time and didn't hear any mayday call.

Shep smith first says they have gone to a 4 alarm fire, and then moments later says the main fire has been extinguished. Then moments later after some live video he says that reports of the fire being extinguished where not accurate.

Mean while the government says there is no reason to believe that it is a terrorist act. While at the same time putting fighter jets in the air and establishing a no fly zone in NYC.

I just love the news.
