Siegelman guilty on 10 counts; Scrushy guilty on all counts; Hamrick and Roberts not guilty.
This is good news.
Guess Scrushy's "I was born a poor black child" defense didn't work this time.
Even the new phone books don't have him listed.
The Culture Of Corruption continues. The GOP will pay a huge price for this in November.
"The cans! He hates the cans!"
I bet that (D) wasn't included in the actual title...
That Republican Culture of Corruption again.
Here is the statement released from the former governor:
And that's it and that's the only thing I need, is this. I don't need this or this. Just this ashtray. And this paddle game, the ashtray and the paddle game and that's all I need. And this remote control. The ashtray, the paddle game, and the remote control, and that's all I need. And these matches. The ashtray, and these matches, and the remote control and the paddle ball. And this lamp. The ashtray, this paddle game and the remote control and the lamp and that's all I need. And that's all I need too. I don't need one other thing, not one - I need this. The paddle game, and the chair, and the remote control, and the matches, for sure. And this. And that's all I need. The ashtray, the remote control, the paddle game, this magazine and the chair.
And I don't need one other thing, except my dog.
I don't need my dog.
Nancy Pelosi is deeply, deeply disappointed.
What's the dog's name?
I'm shocked to be honest. I'm glad they found him guilty, but I figured they were stalling when they couldn't decide.
Sh*thead.
You are correct. Full story from the above link:
Siegelman found guilty in corruption trial
MONTGOMERY Jurors have found former Gov. Don Siegelman guilty of bribery, mail fraud and obstruction of justice in the corruption trial.
For complete story, see Friday's Birmingham News.
I'll double down on this 'RAT's party affiliation not being mentioned before the 6th paragraph in the full story.
Same to you, pal. You just wait until my motorcycle riding circus girlfriend beats you up.
I thought for sure this was going to be an "O.J." type jury because of the statements that some jury members would not even disucss it in their deliberations.
One of Seigleman's lawyers pulled the race card out because he was one of MLK's lawers and a well known civil rights lawyer. He played that up big time hoping to get that sort of a reaction and verdit.
Glad it didn't work!
That's almost a sucker bet. I remember when Gary Condidit was in the news, the MSM and even his fellow RATS tried to insinuate that he was a Republican.
