ORLANDO, Fla. - President Bush, his approval ratings at a record low, acknowledged Wednesday that war in Iraq and rising gas prices have created "battle fatigue" among many Americans.
That anxiety, Bush said, has settled over much of the nation as people worry about whether the United States will succeed in Iraq and how they will afford to fill up their tanks.
"There's a sense of disquiet because of the war in Iraq," said Bush, in an hour-long interview with the Orlando Sentinel and six other Florida newspapers.

Illegal immigration is another issue that hurts him, but if you look at any President in office at this point in a war, they all went through this and had the leftist media trying to ride them down.
Of course the blessing Bush gets is a bunch of 24 hour a day news services that did not exist in past wars to sabotage efforts IMO.

If $20 could buy a slap upside the head, how much do you think we would have to pay to give a politician a good old-fashioned Texas Butt-whuppin'?I'd pay $100 (as long as the politician isn't allowed to fight back).

Having been through several hurricanes I think I know the score. Really? Wow!!! So have I ... granted not category 4 or 5. Point is Bush should have appeared more reactionary and preempted the 'Rats and their allies in the liberal MSM by not giving them any ammo. Flying on AF1 to a fund raiser in San Diego within mere hours of Katrina hitting a devastating blow to the gulf coast and New Orleans was a major blunder, clueless in the extreme ... end of story.

trubluolyguy bashes W a little more than I care for, but calling him a troll is a bit off base. His criticisms of W are mainly on the immigration issue but also for other things where W has neglected his conservative base. His posting history makes it pretty clear he is a legitimate conservative FReeper and not a troll.

I'd pay $100 (as long as the politician isn't allowed to fight back). You know, if it were Kennedy (either the senator from MA or the rep from RI) I think I would do ok even if they could fight back; same thing goes for Biden. And if I could give any of them a good old-fashioned Texas Butt-whippin' with impunity I would also pay $100 for the privilege (each).

He wants investigations into oil companys. No he doesn't. The Democrats are the ones who want to investigate the oil companies. For starters: They hate "big oil".

My #1 problem w/ the prez is his wiretapping and general sense of invading our privacy. Too much movement towards a secure state.Pure unadulterated leftist psychobabble.

What did I write that is nonsense? You tell me then why GWB's approval ratings as polled by likely voters has him at 9% approval respecting his leadership on the flood of criminal aliens pouring across like an open sewer on our southern border with a third-world shite hole.
Why do you not believe the GOP will be put out of the position they can't handle come November, leadership as the majority party?
Oh yea, give me another one of your cute one word non-answers which are as telling tome about you, as the cute, sentimental pictures of dumb animals you post.
