Should Hitler Youth have been exempted from just prosecution because of the training they went through as kids?

The Political Consequences of Child Abuse

We know that as a boy Hitler was tormented, humiliated and mocked by his father, without the slightest protection from his mother. We also know that he denied his true feelings toward his father. The real sources of his hatred thus become obvious.
Evil is evil.....NO EXCUSES!

his knowledge of 9/11, his role in 9/11 was not very great... I thought he had been found guilty?

Feel free to disagree but I have asked this question to many people and when given the choice between solitary confinement for 40 years and a relatively quick execution, they'd choose death.

You don't care about our troops and our country the way I do.

How dare you!

I was married to a Viet Nam Vet with Two Purple Hearts for 34 years.  You are an ignorant ass!

I say turn him loose.

Just announce ahead of time when and where he will be released. At the scheduled time, throw him out of a van with a big target painted on his butt.

I was right about life in prison. Don't know why anyone is surprised. In many states, a confession without other evidence is insufficient for a determination of guilt.

That's easy to say as a hypothetical situation. In real life, almost nobody prefers death over life in prison.

No, I'm not.

You don't see the connection between this verdict and what it will do to our troops?

Are the "many people" you've questioned on this on death row? It seems to me none of us would know for sure unless we were in their shoes.

All the people you asked probably never murdered anybody...

I think the jury might be a little scared, afraid to anger the Islamofacists who might take revenge.

Bingo!

Sickening....the government is to blame...not the cowardly terrorist....

9-11 means nothing to a lot of people. Just a political football to throw around and whatever fits their cause.

Definitely not the country of my grandparents. And I'm sad.

But McVeigh WAS in Supermax for awhile. And he even met with the Unabomber and other "big" terrorists.

It's like an all-star lineup in there.

There are people that feel very strongly on both sides of the life death issue.

I say compromise and give him life in prison and the death penalty. They don't really conflict.

Sheeesssshh....Where's Jack Ruby when you need him?

To the Jury -- You have disgraced your country.

There is no way that ZM was guilty of a capital offense under our civil laws, and the jury was right to do what they did.

ZM violated the laws of war, and his punishment was up to the Department of Defense, at which they flagrantly failed.

Well yes it would be tough to know for sure unless we're actually in the situation, but I know that I'd go crazy if put in a cell for that long every day. I get mesed up when I have to be one room for more than 4 or 5 hours(not counting sleeping).
