Amazing that 73 is so controversial - 53-47? Gosh, a lot of Californians think their minor daughters shouldn't have to let their parents know if they are seeking abortions, but at the same time know that they need parental PERMISSION to go on a school trip or get a cavity filled.
___________________________________________________________
Precisely. You can't take anything stronger than an aspirine, vote or drink alcohol without parental permission, yet you CAN have an abortion?? It's insane.

"I think conservatives are pulling for YES on 73, 74, 75, 76, 77 and 78."
I think conservatives would be happy if both 78 and 79 failed. 78 is the lesser of the two evils.

Arnold has a split victory. Two of (74 and 75) the four measures he championed passed. Three if you count Prop. 73 which he also endorsed. The Democrats are even less popular than him and the election is NOT to be read as a voter endorsement of the way they run things up in Sacramento.

the VP has to have the requirements as the President because he has to be able to assume the presidency.Thanks. That was too obvious, I should have thought of that...
Although, technically, wouldn't that mean everyone in the line of succession would have to be a natural-born citizen? There's a whole lot of people there...

Still, 2 out of Arnie's 4, plus the parental notification amendment passing...IN California. Take the wins where they come.

Concerning Proposition 77 Redistricting
Why would you want an unelected panel deciding the district lines? Seems the conservative position would have only elected officials so that they could be held accountable by voters!

it's not our daughters. it's someone elses. If a 16 year needs one, just as well.

Overall, if the numbers hold, it looks like a good night in CA. The drug props are going down, as well as the electricity prop.

I think 73 74 and 75 will pass, 77 possibly and 76 is a definite dark horse, 78 79 and 80 are toast.
