Concerning Proposition 77 Redistricting

Why would you want an unelected panel deciding the district lines? Seems the conservative position would have only elected officials so that they could be held accountable by voters!

Yes, you should have 1 elected official drawing the lines. But what you should not have is the legislature draw the lines for themselves which is what I think is true in CA.

The legislature draws the lines so that they can always win which means they draw the lines which means they win, etc.

Thank you for clearing that up! I had forgotten that was what that did. So the Moveon.org that failed in Ohio had a counter part in California. Intresting that they both are failing. Why was the Gov for it?
