It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.
It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.
So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.
I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.
By golly, I hope so. I fear for the man that might think otherwise.
Bottom line, they are speculating when such unruly behaviour might spread to dis-affected immigrant youths in Germany. There is much concern.
I want to know why we know so little about presidential candidates. We need a non-partisan commission to do background checks on presidential candidates and report on any likely or actual felonies before the campaign starts. Bill Clinton wouldn't have been able to pass a background check to become an FBI agent and yet he was elected President.

Coincidence indeed. Someone said to me today that he wished Pres Bush could just stay President. I replied that would be fine with me - we could just make him King. He's better than anyone else the Repubs or Demos will offer up in 08 at this point. Obviously you don't feel the same but that's ok. :o)

The poster who started this thread, Dane, is pro illegal immigration. I was pointing out his hypocrisy, in worrying about what's going on in france, when the end result of unbridled illegal immigration we will see a similar end result here.

I was trying to say people who come here, need to come legally and assimilate. That is all.

Fox News reporter tried that tonight. She suggested that France warned us about our involvement in Iraq. It would cause a Muslim uprise.

False, I am not pro-illegal immigration and have told you that many times. What I am against are people who think that people who grow food or build buildings and create wealth and hire a guy named Jose who wears a cross around his neck are not akin to ax murderers.
