It is now getting dark in Paris and in all of France(appx. 6:40 PM Paris Time), and if there are any French FR lurkers(lurquers), this may be the thread to post your reports about any further violence.

It seems the French govt. is impotent in it's response to what seems are jihadist thugs and it seems the American media has put a news blackout filter to what is really happening, so as not to embarass their heroes, Chirac et al.

So any news reports or personal reports from what happens tonight are welcome, and don't worry about broken English, reports in French are welcome also, I have no doubt someone can translate.

I really dread putting up a live thread about such a matter, but it seems that the American MSM is following French govt. orders to play down to what it seems is an insurrection.

One potential difference in the 2 (Euro vs. USA) situations: the American public relatively heavily armed. So are emany of the La Raza/Aztlan brigades, I know - so I'm not sure how it would play out.

I haven't read much about these protests (just started with this thread and will go back to crosslinks afterwards) but can you answer this question (it may have already been posted)?

Is there a specific meaning to torching cars? The few newsphotos I've seen so far seem to be burned out shells of cars. Are they destroying any other type of property?

Please pardon me if this has already been covered; I'm just now jumping into the Paris/France Protest threads.

And you never will, or will very rarely at best. They ALL support the extremists, period. They pump money and people into the movement. This really is WWIV. france won't realize this until it's to late. The rest of Western Europe may, in time. Not sure if they have the will to fight and kill the enemy. Either way, but for securing nuclear material, we should sit this European war out. The Western world can survive and destroy islam without Europe, gotta keep the Brits though.

They should just give the order to shoot rioters on sight. Sure, it would inflame things for a night or two, but people would get the idea. That would at least buy the government a little bit of time to think up a longer-term solution.

I'm beginning to wonder if this whole thing wasn't planned. Perhaps the burning were going to take place anyway. Riots this long and intensive usually have long intentioned planning behind them.

Did not see the AFP report about the flame thrower in central Paris . . . I've been busy (mostly in vain) searching all over the net for fresh images of the rioting, or especially the rioters themselves (if hundreds have been arrested, there must be more pics than the few we've seen) . . . Got a link?
