The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
You're spot on with your comments. The Iranians were the ones who started the whole suicide bomb/"I want my 72 virgins now" craze with Beirut.
they blew people up.
In the United States? I hope and pray not.
Accepted. :-)
In my experience Bush hatred has come to trump everything in their world, but we'll see. It's an irrational condition and I don't count myself an expert in how it'll always manifest itself, but clearly it's been proven to be the one thing driving them these past few years.
I think it odd at best but not SUSPICIOUS ..
'Continue tomorrow' marker...
Thanks.
They detonated a second bomb they found.
Before this is over, we will have to kill every damned one of them. Count me in.
The MSM will not criticize Bush for dealing too lightly with our enemies. The MSM has not criticized him for letting OBL get away. They have not criticized him for not getting the anthrax terrorist. The MSM thinks that our President and our military are the enemies, not Al Queada or the fundamentalists. The media thinks our enemies are victims. To focus on Bush not dealing with our enemies would put to much focus on enemies to satisfy the media's agenda.
What additional data would make this suspicious to you? (I watched the TV show "Numbers" last night. Best show on TV, except for NFL football.)
Thanks. I'm learning a lot tonight.
Do we even know a second bomb was found? I've seen ZERO reports of a second device here in Tulsa.
Apparent Suicide Bomb kills one outside OU stadium
(excerpt...)
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- One person was killed in an explosion in a traffic circle about 100 yards from a packed football stadium at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday night in what authorities were calling a suicide.
"We are apparently dealing with an individual suicide, which is under full investigation," OU President David Boren said in a statement.
There were no other reports of injuries. There was no word on the identity or sex of the person who died.
The loud noise of the explosion could be heard clearly inside Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where 84,000 people were watching the Oklahoma Sooners play Kansas State.(cont'd...)
Looks like nobody's opinions except yours are welcome here, fatima? Are you the new AdminModerator on this forum?
Thanks. I didn't know that.
It was way too loud for a pipe bomb. I agree with that -- no way it was a pipe bomb. We had one go off in a mailbox one time across the street from where we lived back in Ohio. This was much, much louder.
It's the detonating of the second bomb that makes me most suspicious.
This is a bandwidth issue.
Two million New Yorkers trying to use your cell phones at the same time will take down the system.
There are not that many free circuits.
Freerepublic.com was crystal clear at that time because Freepers knew patience, and waited for someone knowledgeable to post...
There was serious concern that for Y2K, everyone trying to wish everyone else Happy New Year! at that same time would take out the phone system hard...
Old news.
How's come they're still here?
