The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
It might sound sick now, but in a few years it may sound like a great idea.
Could be an independent.
Doesn't have to be part of an organized cell.
Unfortunately, I believe you're right...
Now, that makes a lot of sense.
In an earlier post I said triple spin when I found out three federal agencies were on the scene. Homeland Security=propaganda
"Folks are insinuating the MSM would willingly engage in a coverup long term and I don't buy it. Bush hatred is too great to not try to spin it, sympathies to terrorists aside."
Football revenue for colleges and advertisers/retailers. College tuition. College degrees. Sports programs. Public safety. Oklahoma City and Clinton's furious denial, courtesy of the FBI and Gorelick, that it was a 'lone gunman' theory. The OK flying schools. Lack of terrorist attacks on US soil in the heartland since 9/11. All these things are now at risk of exposure, or, falling $$, and, morale. The MSM honchos right now are just on the phone with the DNC and Hitlery to frame the spin.
If the shutting down of cell phone signals deliberately is even possible, then it would be smart to do this in order to keep terrorists from communicating with one another in order to do coordinated attacks.
I find it interesting that I was hundreds of miles to the south at a Big 12 football game and was unable to use my phone (svc unavailable) from about 7:30 p.m. to about 8 p.m.
No.
However I did remark to my wife that a lot of fans left early.
I was just about ready to say something negative at all the empty seats as the camera panned about in the early fourth or late third quarter.
I did say to her that it seemed odd that so many people would leave now that Oklahoma was looking half way decent on the field.
See post #895.
I have a theory that AQ is trying to support the leftist agenda and get us to let down our guard over the next several years by NOT attacking America. Then if we let down our guard and get sloppy about homeland security, they will try to hit us with a much more deadly attack than 9/11. These AQ strategists are diabolically patient.
All phones companies can shutdown cell towers remotely with computers.
Just some beta particles hitting computers... Nothing strange about shutting down cells to protect from beta emissions or other x-ray penetrations...
... (your posts are making me go back and read the whole thread. Thank you SO much for informing us about the events...)
Suicide bomber. Dear God in Heaven.
Prayers up that this is over and not the start of something.
It is not standard procedure that I know of and that makes it even stranger that at Gate 7 (I am naming the gate we entered) that security there didn't thoroughly check our bags. I had my purse inside an OU bag -- he took one cursory look, didn't even ask to see the inside of my daughter's purse, and waved us in -- two women sitting next to us had the same thing happen.
I will ask around to see if they swept the stadium. That is weird.
See post #895.
"this doesn't look too good."
Nothing to base ANYTHING on right now ...at all..
Hey, Tas!
BS! Iranians and Syrians are the ones who started the suicide bombing and are sending their lemmings into Iraq now. Count your "informant" as a suspect.
Not so strange. They shut down the cell phone towers if there is a chance that a terror bombing situation is in progress so the terrorists can't detonate bombs via cell phone. Happened in NYC during the 9-11 attack too. Good strategy to help protect the rescue workers going in if they suspect more unexploded bombs in the vicinity.
