The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
Check this out - it was a "suicide", but not a suicide bomber.

Timing and loction of this "suicide" are extremely suspicious. The feds will probably put a lid on this so as not to scare the sheeple, but also for some other good reasons that I will not discuss.
On a lighter note, I volunteer to pat down the fans at ASU and Phoenix Cardinals games here in Arizona. I'll start with the cheerleaders and Hooters girls--yep, those Hooters girls can be real dangerous...might have to do a partial strip search on a few of them.
Thank you for the images, Jimbo123. I don't know what I'd do for news if it weren't for FR.
Happy Pre-Ramadan everyone! Rama-lama-ding-dong!
The 2 bomb strategy is typical in Iraq. The second bomb is aimed at the rescue and fire squads.
Nothing on Drudge yet.
It is possible that two middle-eastern men, hearing a bomb explode, might think that the smart thing to do is to run into the stadium, either because it would be a safe place, or because they don't want to be near an explosion because they KNOW what everybody is thinking.
I have no idea what the facts are. I don't believe we know for a fact that there was a 2nd bomb. That could have been a mis-reporting, or it could be that they simply blew up a pack that was nearby to make sure it wasn't another bomb.
I am completely open as to what happened. I'm just saying that we will know a lot more in a few hours, if the government doesn't decide to supress the evidence.
I'm open about that as well. I don't know they are supressing actual evidence of attacks. I just know that they COULD do so, and if they did I might be persuaded to agree with them, if there's nothing the rest of us can do anyway and it keeps us all from panicking when there is nothing better to do.
Earlier this evening I was thinking about how we will be bombed. 1200+ Iraqi's dead in the past few weeks. There is nothing in our country that could prevent that from happening here, except possibly the lack of hundreds of people in this country who would be willing to die in the process. Certainly we can't really stop it.
Conspiracy Hat On: Pretty good plan. Blow up bomb in parking lot, by reports here police in the stadium move out to see what happened, while your men run INTO the stadium.
No I don't exactly remember the path. But I do remember he did not have gallstones but his DISIDA scan was abnormal. If I remember right I did not think his path report was definitive. That is also something that made me go HUMMMMM afterwards. But tularemia can invade the GB and the rest of the digestive system. I had him in the hospitial about 10 days and I had talked with the infectious dz specialist and I was treating him right. But he did not seem to be getting better and I decided to transfer him to her care. Boy was that a job. She did not directly admit so I had to find a general interest to admit and she (her majesty) would then be consulted . It took me another 48 hours to work the logistics out. But I saw him about 2.5 months later and heard the story of how I was right and he did get better.
Drudge is probably at the discos tonight.
When she said that a group of us looked at her and she said she came from that area and know exactly the type of Arab that would do this and went on to say how the Iranians are lighter skinned then the suicide bombers throughout that region. Her and her parents have been in this Country for several years. She talked about how the regular people love Americans and would not do anything like this but Syrians and Iraqi's of Saddam are another whole story. I learned something I didn't know tonight actually I learned a lot.
My son just picked up his car as the guy he shares an office with at OU brought him over. He said the President of OU is downplaying this as a lone bomber right now but there is pretty much of a new blackout even on our local stations. Then he went on to say that they are going to sweep the whole campus and don't know if they will have school Monday or not. He was told told to go home and wait to find out. He had a meeting on campus tomorrow that was cancelled.
Military orginization or a cult perhaps.
I am a lifelong Republican and Vice Chair of our County Party but I think David Boren and his wife are class acts. I feel for him right now facing all of the questions with very few answers.
"They (the two seen fleeing) unloaded their backpacks somewhere on campus." Links?
On the soonerfan site, people were wondering just how safe they were in the stadium, though the Pres of OU said they were, and they were at least controlled. However, if those 2 ran into the stadium, well, gees.
It is possible it was a person with several explosives strapped on, and only one or two went off, with the rest being blown around. The police would collect them, and detonate.
Again, not trying to argue one way or another, just saying that there are other explanations.
Someone said the body was in little pieces. I have not seen any direct description of the victim, do we have an official report that the body has been destroyed?
I have no idea if they have cameras or not but I do know at our Gate security was very lax tonight.
I hope you are right. However, the blackout of this news by the MSM is troubling indeed. I can almost picture the editors of the various outlets desperately scratching out "bombers" from "suicide bombers" just to be PC.
