The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.

One thing that I think we will see more and more of is hepatic amoebiasis. I had a case of this some years back in an illigal alien. He came in with what for the world looked like acute cholecystitis and when we got in he had amebic abcess of the liver with the anchovie paste abcess which is reported as characteristic of amoebic liver abcess. It was very interesting. He responded well to drainage and flagyl.
The day is rapidly approaching when we'll have to pass through a metal detector and then an explosives detector to enter a sporting event. It wouldn't suprise me if that is standard procedure around the world by 2010.
If they had student tickets, they would have scanned them right in -- takes about 20 seconds or less to be scanned and near halftime there are so many people milling around the stadium, no one would have paid much attention. This particular girl did because she comes from that part of the world. She heard the blast and then saw these two guys split and she was sure they were part of it.
BTW, security at the gates tonight was a joke! If you have a ticket, you can get right in before half because there are no crowds waiting to get in the stadium. You walk up, hand them your ticket, they scan, and away you go. With so many people around before and during halftime, you could get lost easily.
My guess is that it was a Kerry supporter who just realized that Kerry was not going to be president.

Many would argue that modern day Islam is more of a military organization than a religion. In that case a change to the Constitution may be in order.

We just happen to sit 15 miles south of the home of AWACS! There was a blackout for a longtime after it happened. It wasn't until the 4th quarter when word started spreading by cell phone calls into the stadium. Nothing to speak of on the local news and nothing on the Sooner radio station as a guy behind us was listening to the game.

That explosion was loud -- knew it was a bomb and it was NO pipe bomb. Did you hear it on the TV?
You should tune in to our local channels....it's a blackout! They break programming for a storm that is several hours away, but when they come on for updates about today's events, it's cryptic at best.
