The explosion happened at the courtyard near the George Lynn Cross Hall, Botany-Microbiology Building on OU's campus, which is west of the stadium, according to Sgt. Gary Robinson of the University police department. The explosion happened during the second quarter of Oklahoma's game against Kansas State. After the explosion, police set up a perimeter of several blocks and made fans exit the stadium to the east.
NORMAN -- An explosion near the University of Oklahoma's Gaylord Family-Memorial Stadium killed one person Saturday, OU officials said.
There have been studies done that prove crashed planes had roughly 33% less actual flying passengers than who booked...
Sad, but quite possibly true.
Prayers for the families of those injured as well as the family of the person who died.
RE #932: I'll take the second option as well as any countries who declare to follow it.
They have,
but the Branch Davidians didn't have any bombs.
And, they were a sect, not in the process of subjugating everyone around them.
The MSM has not critisized Bush for not having Osama?
I disagree with most of your examples, and certainly the premise inherant in your statement Osama was allowed to get away, but the point most strikingly absurd is that he hasn't been targeted for Osama not being found.
Good grief. When Saddam was captured first thing out of their mouths was, well, he still hasn't captured Osama! In the debates last year Kerry couldn't shut his mouth about Tora Bora. Don't try to re-write history here.
How about the fact we sat through halftime and almost two more quarters before the news leaked out in our part of the stadium? My daughter is home for the night from her sorority and my son picked up his car and is headed to his apartment on the other side of town.
I knew something was wrong when all of a sudden our cell phones started all going off in the 4th quarter and we all had messages piled up of people trying to call before we could answer. We could see all the lights from police cars that were on Lindsey from where we sat.
Hopefully, you don't vote.
Re: the TTU/Nebraska game, you should be nervous for more reason than just terrorism!
;-)
Naw, if you don't go to the game, then you let the terrorists win. Go to the game and lose only to the Red Raiders instead.

NORMAN One person was killed in an explosion in a traffic circle about 100 yards from a packed football stadium at the University of Oklahoma on Saturday night in what authorities were calling a suicide.
The loud noise of the explosion could be heard clearly inside Oklahoma Memorial Stadium, where 84,000 people were watching the Oklahoma Sooners play Kansas State.
Officers cordoned off an area west of the stadium after the explosion and nobody was allowed out of the stadium immediately after the blast, which occurred shortly before 8 p.m., about halftime of the game. People were allowed out of the stadium about 8:30 p.m.
A police bomb squad detonated explosives found at the site of the blast. This could also be heard clearly in the stadium area.
They'll go even further, and claim the Iraq War causes terror at home. They always get cause and effect mixed up, just like everything else.
in other states?
Bump to #18
Thank you.
My son and daughter are always text messaging people from the game and it wouldn't go through until sometime in the 4th quarter. They kept getting all circuits are busy.
Yup, he died from ruptured eardrums. /sarcasm
The title of this thread says "suicide bomber" now also...
I am beyond speechless.
Carry on.
That probably means it was a serious explosive. Black powder makes lots of smoke. TNT does not, nor does stuff like C-4. Not that I'm saying it was either of those, but generally speaking the high detonation velocity stuff doesn't produce all the much smoke. Hollyweird has conditioned us to believe all explosions look like... well like a 757 hitting the WTC.
