The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

Hume said it's obvious Roberts will be hard to beat and the opposition may crumble. The next nominee will be put through the mill, however.

Ironic, isn't it that the Judicial Committee did NOT vote him out of committee and he then ran for the Senate and was elected....now sitting on that committee himself! Delicious.

Interesting.

Never knew about NPR here in NYC, wonder why?

LOL. Because you are too smart to mess with your blood pressure. I once read a comment by a FReeper who said he had almost run his car into a tree listening to Daniel Schorr.

I have been certain since day one of his CJ nomination that Roberts will preside on the first Monday in October.

Bush holds all the cards. His next nominee will send the democrats over the proverbial cliff.

I think we need popcorn for this.

I'm not certain of his age, he looks fairly young. In his '50's?

Catch the look in Sessions' eye at the end? The man is sharp, he really does deserve better than to be isolated among the nitwits that make up the majority of the Senate.

I hope it is Edith Jones. The Democrats would have kittens. (not just mere toads)
