The Dem playbook

The Hill newspaper gives us a peek at the Democratic playbook for the Roberts hearings. Below are the attack assignments for the Democratic members of the Committee:

Kennedy -- civil rights

Leahy -- Bybee torture memo

Biden -- privacy, personal autonomyand the 9th Amendment

Kohl -- Property rights and civil liberties

Feinstein -- "judicial activism" and Roe vs. Wade

Feingold -- limits of executive powers

Schumer and Durbin have wisely refused to show their hand.

You're right ... I don't think anything is as certain in this business as that Roberts will be the next CJ.

My real interest right now is WHO is going to be tapped on the following Tuesday by the President to be the next to run this gauntlet.

He suggested Fred Thompson, because at least 'I know as much as Fred Thompson does'.

What an ASSCLOWN.

Roberts: "And the Supreme Court ruling was that that was a correct interpretation of the law."

FOFL .. I don't think Biden liked that answer

What was the question?

Me too. You know the democrats are worried, because they want POTUS to ask Sandra to serve another year...lol.

I'm thinking he'll nominate a woman... maybe a black woman...Janice Rogers Brown? I doubt it'll be her, but she'd be perfect :)

Brit Hume says Biden is prone to being windy. LOL!

In other words, Biden is prone to plagiarizing at great length. He is a man of many words -- other people's words that is.

"There are 18 senatores in the room"
And the final vote count will go down 10-8 exactly on party lines. Soooo predictable.

---------------------------------------------------------

I hope I'm wrong.

You have a serious problem with a potential USSC nominee taking a VERY small role, approximately 3 hours of work, in Romer v. Evans?

Yet, you seemingly ignore the advice and consultation of those who have worked very closely with Roberts and VOUCH for his traditional stance on the law. Go talk to Hugh Hewitt who worked with Roberts. Go talk to anyone who worked in a legal capacity with Roberts. They all say the same thing - that he is a supporter of the strict interpretation of the Constitution.

The level of virulence of those on the conservative side who are fighting the Roberts nomination makes me wonder what the REAL agenda is - because it certainly isn't trying to clean up the role and direction of the USSC.

Schumer has said that he might
Approve a justice who's AIR-EE-YOO-DITE*.
There's only one clinker
In this plan of Chuck Stinker --
The candidate mustn't lean right.

*Schumer's preferred MISpronunciation of erudite.

A nominee better be lucky,
And get approval from close-minded Chucky,
His vehemence floors us
-- He's a one-man Greek chorus --
Whose vision for America's yucky.

Chuckie is going to be loving this. 30 minutes of uninterrupted air time.

I bet that the only questions he asks Roberts will be Yes or No answers. If he asks three questions that will give him 29 minutes to spout.

Brit Hume says Biden is prone to being windy.

If Joe, Teddy, Leaky, and Chuckie were rated like hurricanes, they'd all be CAT5s.

She should sit there and snicker, whisper and point @ at the committee, and really LOL ever so often @ the swimmer and doll hair. I know....not befitting a SCOTUS wife - it's just what I would want to do. :o)

She has reason to despise those people. Their hands were in on that "investigation" of her children's adoption.
