FOX News (Click here for MUST SEE Video) ^ | Brit Hume and Major Garrett

Posted on 09/07/2005 3:35:54 PM PDT by NickatNite2003

Just heard on FOX that Blanco refused to allow supplies to be brought to the stadium, "Because they wanted all those people to leave, and they didn't want to create a magnet to bring others there, by bringing in food and water!"""

Subject: FW: New Orleans rescue effort thwarted

I'm telling you guys... nothing else makes sense. Turn me into the barking moonbat awareness brigade, but why else would help be turned away at ever turn? We've heard story after story after story where ppl tried to help, but were sent back home.

Why? Orders from above. You guys that are underestimating Blanco thinking her stupid are making a big mistake. She was elected Gov in a dog-eat-dog world and succeeded. She didn't get there without a modicum of wits in that evil skull of hers. And I'd bet anything that she had plenty of direction from above.

Think about it.. hasn't the Democratic Party been killing blacks for years by keeping them in abject poverty for the sake of their vote? Doesn't it stand to reason anyone that evil would sacrifice them for "the greater good" as in getting their sorry asses back in power?

OK... have the moonbat folks lead me off in handcuffs now... I'm through. ;)

"These are deliberate, calculated decisions shored up by very lame, inexplicable excuses."

"Deliberate, calculated" so truly in keeping with the permanent Machiavellian ops plan of Hillary & Co.

It did not take much longer than the eye to pass by than for anyone plugged in to realize that Louisiana Democrats had already screwed up on a national scale -- no evac order until too late, no state or local reliance on any kind of a disaster plan, buses under water, you name it.

National Dems immediately assessed no positive defenses available to give a tearful Blanco any excuse, and instead went for the tried-and-true out of the DNC/Hill/MSM playbook -- Flood The Zone. (Pun unintended, although the irony is not wasted.)

The DNC/Hill/MSM unleashed a co-ordinated fax/talking points finger-pointing campaign at Bush at about the same moment Blanco was ordering her state people to turn away the Red Cross from the Superdome.

And yet again, the DNC/Hill/MSM failed, and yet again their failure is fully encapsulated on FreeRepublic. But this time, their inherent lead-time advantage for making accusations could not even carry their rancid lies one full news cycle. I think that's remarkable.

Even in the epic scope of a natural disaster, people in pajamas trumped billion-dollar media organizations and their cohorts in the Democrat Party.

I'm going to make a guess that Landreneau is a decent man and is not going to take the blame for Blanco.

Louisiana Homeland and Emergency Preparedness
Since 1990, LHLS & EP has been under the leadership of two Directors, Major General Ansel M. Stroud and Major General Bennett C. Landreneau. The staff at the Baton Rouge office has also undergone many changes and adjusted personnel to accommodate a number of large disasters such as Hurricane Andrew, Tropical Storm Allison, and more recently the damages resulting from Isidore and Lilli in 2002. The inclusion of the Homeland Security mission has also created additional staffing requirements.

In the spring of 2002 LHLS & EP moved to a new facility, located in the Independence Boulevard area. The expanded capabilities that the new location provides, further enhances the Agency's mission readiness and ability to protect the citizens of Louisiana.

Effective communication and partnerships with the Military Department in New Orleans, the Governor's Office, the Legislature, our Congressional staff, State officials, Parish and City officials, Parish Emergency Directors, individual citizens and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has improved greatly since 1990. In most cases critical disaster data can now be transmitted instantly between the various supporting agencies and offices via the upgraded radio, computer and web based systems. These tools help provide a multi-tiered operational environment that is much more efficient and reliable during disaster operations; when time sensitive information is so vital to mission accomplishment.

The LHLS & EP staff in Baton Rouge is small when compared to other states, but remains poised and ready to serve the people of Louisiana at a moments notice.

One old friend just called me that used to live there Louisiana, She was pessimistic saying that New Orleans is known far and wide for its corrupt politicians and if everything starts to hit the fan ,COUNT on Blanco to call or plead to let them investigate themselves. Saying they will do a better job cause they know what really happened! Everyone is ''connected '' down there. Nepotism and all that goes with it. I didn't know that Landreius brother is the attorney general. Is that right?

Thanks, I've been bookmarking all these threads. There is a 'volume' of information about Blanco and Nagin!

Her second was a prayer service Wed after the storm during which people were dying. While she made a charade of a prayer service. She never heard "praise the Lord and pass the ammunition". One doesn't have a formal church service whilst others are dying from lack of food and water and help.,

I heard that she was objecting to rescuers "toting bibles" and otherwise proselytizing, this even of the NG. If true, I withdraw my claim that she should be impeached. She should be tarred and feathered, and then thrown into the nearest swamp. Only problem is that good crocs would probably spit this useless POS out onto the shoreline, and she'll crawl back into politics once again. Looks like she is LA's equivalent of the Beast from Chappaqua.

What I want to know is where Governor Blanco was getting her orders from? Do the letters D-N-C mean anything to you?

Bingo! Blanco is just a flunkey, used by the DNC as a monkey wrench in the federal machine. They used her as a tool to sabotage federal efforts, in order to get Bush. Those who call Bush "Hitler" have shown themselves to be the ones deserving that title... but then, the Left ALWAYS accuses the Right of being exactly what it itself is.

Lies... slander... calumnies... Now add mass murder to the methods of the DNC. They must be stopped, or else it'll become their SOP.

I've been slamming some of the "rumors and propaganda" (what we called it in the Air Force) by the news media (sad to say, Fox too) on a number of other threads for a few days now. Earlier I saw a report saying that FEMA (you know, Brown, Chertoff and Bush) stopped the relief from going in for the same reason we now "know" it was state officials.

My money is still on the delay being caused by the reluctance of officials to send in relief troops in a rising flood and to send in Red Cross workers to be shot at or robbed. I think that is what I would do.

Notice that the photo showing the flooded buses, as well as the flooded and not-flooded parts of New Orleans is dated 31 August, the Wednesday after Katrina hit. I wonder when they first learned they could go in without being drowned.

Nagin doesn't have the "right stuff" to be mayor of a Crack House.

I've got a suspicion you are right. I hope you are right. I'd hate to think that Mary M. could be in love with, and married to someone who wasn't basically a good guy, even if he is misguided politically. There comes a time though, that folks who are basically good have to have their eyes opened and can no longer stomach political shenanigans (regardless of party affiliation) especially at the expense of human lives. Maybe he's waiting to learn the facts, or maybe he's just staying out of it because he can't bring himself to "stoop that low", as you said.

LA politics is a cesspool, but I don't think they can ever get this genie back into the bottle. They might have had a chance if the national 'Rats hadn't started up their smear campaigns before Katrina had even passed north, but now the Republicans will truly be INSANE if they do not insist upon the most thorough investigation possible. No more 9/11 Omission Commission whitewashes, either -- if the Republicans do not recognize and fully counter the political war-to-the-death that the 'Rats have launched now then I will have to swear off paying any attention to politics forever.

Yeah, I've been wondering a lot about his silence, 'cause usually he can't shut up and after all he is the "Ragin' Cajun" -- I suspect he's just been gathering info and waiting for the right time to pile on -- if he knows that the 'Rats are heading for a catastrophe of their own then he'd be doing everything possible to shut them up, and he's so well wired into the party that I would think he could have headed this off if he'd tried. So, I suspect he was waiting for the right moment to try to take down Bush with the "final blow" but now he will have to start desperately spinning to save his own 'Rats in LA..... not to mention the national party -- that clip that Fox played of Patrick Leahy shamelessly denouncing the failure to send truckloads of food and water to the Superdome and Convention Center can be used against the 'Rats for years to come.

If you really want to get to the bottom of what really happened after Katrina, and you want to get caught up in the blame game, you will eventually discover that blame in Louisiana is spelled B-L-A-N-C-O.

First: Nagin (failure to implement the evac plan).

Second: Blanco (failure to bring in the National Guard)

Third: Blanco (failure to coordinate with the Feds)

Fourth: Blanco (failure to obtain financing for levee upgrades)

fifth+: Blanco (failure to etc.)

You are absolutely correct. The Governor has the primary responsibility. Hopefully, despite President Bush's good graces, this truth will come out for all to see.

Did anyone see that Keith Olberman guy on MSNBC tonight? I was flipping through the channels and saw him looking like Katie Couric did after the last few elections. He actually looked sick.

I love it when they get that 'deer in the headlights' look.
