Just heard on FOX that Blanco refused to allow supplies to be brought to the stadium, "Because they wanted all those people to leave, and they didn't want to create a magnet to bring others there, by bringing in food and water!"""
omg!
I hadn't seen this before, interesting that so many were suffering just blocks away.
-OR- wade in 2ft deep (at least) water all the way to Baton Rouge...
I only caught him for a couple of minutes -- I can't bear to watch that smug sanctimonious smear of dog feces, but as I was flipping around I caught a bit of him with some leftie writer from Salon.com who was giving what must be just about the last desperate gasp of leftie spin.... saying that the Bush administration and FEMA did a wonderful job with 2004 hurricanes in Florida because they only cared about winning votes in last year's election, but that now that it's 2005 they decided all those poor black people in NOLA should just die.... YUP, that's what we're going to be hearing more of now, unless/until the facts about the 'Rat Governor really get out there. But the left and the MSM are allergic to facts!
DAMAGE CONTROL NEEDED... STAT...
As one who at one time worked in casino management in NOLA, can only tell you that it was due purley to incompetence and corruption in all levels of the state and city government, the likes of which I had never seen before - so many commentators seem to be uneducated on LA, or being PC; comments like '(NOLA) is now like a 3rd world country.' Beleive me, it was like a 3rd world country and run like a banana republic long before this tragedy.
No, they are incapable of being shamed, and many in the public will still always support them -- no matter what. It's called "blind loyalty."
Heartbreaking stuff.
"Why are none of the African American "leaders" up in arms over this?"
They should be demanding that Blanco be recalled.
The House Servant, Jesse Jackson, is trying to get the "colored folks" back on the plantation, where they can vote for Ol' Massa.
Maybe I'm still naive.... I'm not yet cynical enough to believe the Governor planned it all to make Bush look bad or even to see him impeached.... I do believe Blanco was on a petty power trip of thinking she had to do everything her way, and her pitiful 'Rat ego helped her to blunder all over the place not deciding much of anything. I think it was more ego, inflexibility, panic and incompetence by the Governor than any conspiracy, but I'm certainly willing to be proved wrong! :^)
If Paul Begala, James Carville, and/or Howard Dean were pulling strings behind the scenes, they should be taken out and strung up like Mussolini...... btw, Carville IS the "ragin' Cajun" isn't he?? He probably has a pretty tight line to the Governor unless for any reason they don't get along.... you'd think Carville would take a strong interest in the politics of his home state....
Lived there 18 years, sad but true.
Has anyone seen Carville lately? He's an ole Louisiana boy. Surely he has an opinion about what's been going on down there.
The indictment would be on a matter unrelated to this hurricane.
Hey, I pinched that graphic from another thread, I live in Australia, please send it to where-ever you think it will do the most good.
He has been surprisingly quiet, now I know that it might seem blasphemous for me say this, but deep down I think Carville is a good guy, he's a bulldog, but I would hope he won't stoop that low, especially when it's personal to him. But then I could be wrong.
"Did anyone see that Keith Olberman guy on MSNBC tonight? I was flipping through the channels and saw him looking like Katie Couric did after the last few elections. He actually looked sick."
Probably like the poor old captain of the Titanic when he was told the ship was sinking.
As you said, that was because Mayor Daly had a firm grasp on his .........
