Just heard on FOX that Blanco refused to allow supplies to be brought to the stadium, "Because they wanted all those people to leave, and they didn't want to create a magnet to bring others there, by bringing in food and water!"""

I will say it again, did the RATS intentionally make things worse in LA to use as a political weapon ?"
On Sunday, when they started herding the unwashed masses into the Super Doom, (not a typo), I went to my 90 year old grandmother's house and turned on the TV. I told her we were about to witness the biggest disaster the U.S. has ever seen. I mentioned to her that I knew she lived through the 'Great Depression' but this would be worse and happen faster.
Then I said I thought the administration in LA was herding the poor, sick, homeless, drug addicts and disabled into the Superdoom, (again, not a typo), to kill them so they didn't have to support them, and then would blame the deaths on Bush for cutting funding and sending troops to Iraq. The libs used them to get their votes, and now they were being sentenced to death, and would use their deaths to get reelected. Oh, and as a bonus, they get a bunch of our tax dollars to rebuild without the burden of caring for those listed above.
Sorry if there are those on this forum that don't like my thinking, but...
That is what I think.
I'm a Kentucky Hillbilly, (proudly stated), and I could have organized an evacuation from NO. This seem deliberate.

The Louisiana State government isn't worth squat. I've been saying for a week, isn't it strange that other States can cope competently with hurricanes, but Louisiana can't?

***Be fair...the Mayor did tell the people to bring their own food and water. ...for three days!***
If you happen to be frail old lady, or a man on crutches, or a child, the only amount of water you could carry would be a half gallon, at MOST. That's only eight glasses. And you do need some for washing your hands, etc. besides drinking lots of it in the outrageous heat.

I need to correct something. I am so glad that so many have read this article.
In my reply I wrote David Gregory, not sure why ,and I should have said MAJOR GARRETT,
I apologize over and over.
I can't use my age, 82, because I usually don't post anything that I haven't checked, even the spelling.
I am sorry, sorry, sorry, Please all forgive me. I WILL do better next time.

I put nothing past the RATS in their lust to get power back. Blanco will be found to be worse than incompetant if the Katrina Commision is not turned into a white wash.

I don't know, the slimy Dems seem to be cranking out condemnations of Bush. Including my own personal favorite, Congressman Jim Moran of Virginia.

I misunderstood your post. He talks fast, says too much. And if you think he screwed up so bad, well that is too bad. He is alot better and more honest and decent than what we have now.First, I like Jindal, and I agree he's far better than what you've had to endure for so long. Second, although it is a fact that he screwed-up, it does not necessarily have to be a fatal mistake. A lot depends on how he positions himself in the days to come. I hope he'll come through okay.

Idiots like Maxine Waters had just better shut up, because they don't know a blasted thing they are talking about. I don't care to pay taxes so that dumbass Congress twits can spread lies.

You might try nautical nurse. Nautical started almost every thread on the hurricane. Nautinurse

I wouldn't fire Landreneau unless Blanco goes, too. She's the one giving "orders".
To: cajungirl
Actually, I don't have the stats before me, but I am fairly certain that Jefferson Parish voted for the popular Edwin Washington Edwards in the 1991 general election. I know that former Republican Governor David Treen actively stumped for his old Democrat rival Edwards in that election, much to Edwards' obvious delight. Some even think that Edwards voted for Treen in the 1979 general election so that Edwards could challenge Treen in 1983, instead of another popular Democrat who might emerge.

You can add the name of the female dolt in charge of CT. She's "won" the lawsuit against Donald and the Pentagon to keep some fighter jets at Bradley Air Guard Base instead of allowing them to be moved as part of the re-organization. She was just tickled at the verdict saying, "Our authority has been recognized".
The same moronic mentality is at work in Blanco's attitude. They've set back the cause of women as sensible leaders 300 years.
And yes, I'm a woman.

Drudge has this up in Red headlines now. Rats sure to start jumping the good ship Blanco soon.
