Supporters of U.S. Involvement in Iraq Plan Caravans to Texas

Move America Forward will be conducting the “You Don’t Speak for Me, Cindy” caravan beginning next week. It will feature military family members who have loved ones serving in the war against terrorism in Iraq or Afghanistan. The delegation will be led by Deborah Johns of Marine Moms. (Her son has served in Operation Iraqi Freedom).

Main caravan leaves from San Francisco, California on Monday, August 22nd. Other caravans will depart from around the country. If you want to be part of a caravan, email us with your name and location you will depart from and we will include in our caravan coverage so people in your area can depart with you.

Everyone arrives in Crawford, Texas for a giant “We Support Our Troops AND Their Mission” Rally on Saturday, August 27, 2005.

If you have a loved one serving in Iraq or Afghanistan and would like to join the caravan please contact Move America Forward’s Robert Dixon: Robert@MoveAmericaForward.org

Quite an about page you have there strikhedonia. Very admirable achievements....including "New York All-State Tenor". Maybe you will sing for us at the rally? Having just returned from Iraq, I am sure there will be many of us wishing to talk with you.

Thank you for joining in and most of all, thank you for what you have done for our country and the Iraqi children.

American Insurgent, perhaps? The bad guys live among us...

I am glad you left the post up. It's very telling of the sad state of mind the enemies of liberty, freedom, and the truth are in.

In hoc!

I would just like to let everyone know that you need to be aware of how congested the area is going to be. For those of you who have never been to Crawford, there is only a two lane road in and out. Last weekend and the weekend before, it took about 2 hours to just get through the town because of the amount of people and traffic. Just so you are aware and prepared, it would probably be a good idea to stock your vehicle with food and drinks so that you are not stuck in traffic with no supplies. Just a suggestion! See you all this weekend!

It's 2:30 p.m. on Monday, August 22. I just returned from Sacramento, Offices of Channel 10, where the Caravan made a stop to be interviewed. I don't know the numbers, but there were more people there supporting the Troops AND their Mission than against it. I met a young soldier there who impressed me deeply. He is home from Iraq on a 14-day leave and he was surprising his mom today, who showed up at the rally. She didn't know he was home yet. I asked him what I could do to support him while he was over there. He said, nodding his head at our group, "just what you're doing here." He tried, in vain, to explain to the anti-war protestors that what they were doing was hurting the morale of the troops. I don't think they were listening. They don't care about the troops, only the sounds of their own voices.

By the way, I got this young soldier's e-mail address while I was there and when I got home, I was ready to send him an e-mail and realized I had lost it. If you read this, and I know you participate in Free Republic, please send me your e-mail address again! Thanks! Beth in Winters (bethtopaz@yahoo.com)

Thanks for the info...

We are moving up to the Waco area and found a nice house in Crawford I told my wife "no way not for a while anyway".I think I'll just stay out in Lampasas less congested and close enough to Killen or Cove for all I could need.

This facinates me...I am sorry, I know this isn't a recipe thread, but I must ask one (or two) last question. Besides it can only encourage the "troops" to hear about what is waiting for them, right?

You stated a few days ago that you put the brisket "on"...on what? Are you cooking it for days? Is it on the bar b que?

And do you cook it in newspaper or paper bags?

Thanks!

This communist hag has my dead brothers name on one of her cross at her Rally. How can I get his cross removed. Isn't there something legal I can do?

Both soldier and mom are Freepers, Beth... I have addressed this to both of them as well... I wish I could have been there but his Mom called me to tell me... and he wanted to speak to me but I was at a place where I couldn't talk...
