Well, if we can't have Michael Savage, I guess this guy will do. Savage would have been best, then Luttig. But Roberts is much better than Clement or Jones. There is always the chance Bush will nominate Savage for the Rehnquist seat, so I'll keep my hope alive.

Drudge Headline:
ABORTION WAR AFTER BUSH PICKS... ROBERTS ... a brief he wrote for President George H.W. Bush's administration in a 1991 abortion case, in which he observed that "we continue to believe that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided and should be overruled."

Can you verify that for me? I don't trust anyone. Especially if they were elected.

I agree.
But, Ms. Brown STILL has a shot because the great odds are there could be two more picks to come. I think Renquist will not make it so there is one. And I feel death or illness will force one of the others out (hopefuly Ginsberg who has had cancer).

The only thing the left can hold against this guy is abortion. If they make a stink, they're the "baby killing party" and all they care about is killing babies!!!.

From the looks of him on the other issues, it is difficult to imagine that he fell off the map on that one.

"Frist you might as well crank up that constitutional option right now because YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE TO USE IT!"As I said in post #5 on a much earlier thread...a Prime Time announcement of his nominee means that President Bush is PICKING A FIGHT with the Dems.
Life is good.

I think you're right about everything except Brown. I just think it's too sudden for her to make such quick jumps, and it's un-Bush-like. But Jones, yeah.

I am so glad that the Demo(n)cRATS have expended so much political capital on the Rovegate fraud.
Their credibility is shot, just when they need it most, and the general public is suffering from fraudulent scandal fatigue.
This is a brilliant move on Dubya's part.
The meltdown on the Left is going to be spectacular, and will permanently cripple them.

If Savage likes him were in good shape.

The Democrats haven't had the chance to fax their talking points on Judge Roberts to CNN.
Just wait, in 24 hours CNN will have changed its tune completely.
