Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
No flames here.
My chin is up and believe me, I am NOT growing weak. Quite the contrary. Yesterday my primary sensation was numbness and, I guess, disbelief still that human beings could do such wickedness to this helpless woman.
Today, after my initial shock at today's ruling, the sensation that has been surging through me is a mighty anger and indignation. I am amazed at myself for being caught off guard about what evil human beings are capable of. I study my Bible daily, I KNEW what we would be seeing in people as we get closer and closer to the return of Christ:
1 Timothy 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
This is what is happening. When the conscience is seared shut in this way, there is no room left in a person to pity and care for the weak and helpless among us. They see nothing wrong in their actions. In fact, they delight in what they are accomplishing.
I don't know if these forces can be defeated, but they MUST be fought!

special elections are called by petition process. Get enough valid signatures then you get the chance for an recall election.
Then you have to be ready with an opposition candidate AND you have to be ready to fight the pinelas county law firms and mega firms which may have a branch there.
He's in the Bush cheering section, he has his orders. I don't think he's an independent thinker when it comes to fair critcism of anything with the name "Bush" on it.
We won't let him get away with this either. Wonder if LAURA INGRAHAM, SEAN HANNITY and others in influential positions will go the RUSH LIMBAUGH protect-the-GOP route, too? Time will tell.
have you noticed ever since Terri's situation has hit national news...how the LEFT has been saying over and over every day that starvation and having no water given to Terri is not painful...it's blissful...now that is outrageous.
I'd like to know more about that if you have more information.

Yes it was right there on the wall in the vestibule, you couldn't shut the door without looking at it. I've never seen such a poster (and I'd remember!) I'm sure it's there because of Terri.
Perhaps to some extent Hannity will. But, just gauging from the looks in many eyes this past week something fundamental has changed with many conservatives. Their eyes have been opened.
What we all need to do here is form an FR club, ongoing thread, as prolifers. And see what we can do about making changes.
I showed the boys the pictures of Gabriel and Cameron and Josie Keys from Texas, who spent their Spring Break outside the hospice and were arrested for carrying a styrofoam cup of water a few steps in the hospice's direction. One of my sons said, "I wish I could be there. I would try to take her water, too." God bless the little children.
There's an awful lot about this that I just don't understand.
For one thing, how is it possible that the police of the state of Florida are under the control of a judge, and not the Governor?
What is going on there?

Sorry, but the public schools are a lost cause. That's a whole other battle that has already been lost. I have my three out of that system because it no longer holds any value toward traditional American principles.
Additionally let this wake everyone up, and pay close attention, all.
Right now there is a FLOOD of articles in the medical journals saying that feeding tubes are dangerous, and urging the dis-use of them.
