Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Pegita...my FRmail to you last night.
I TOO believe this world is falling in step, rapidly, for the anti-christ to come on scene. And to think, this is the BEGINNING of birth pains...the BEGINNING.
An attorney for the Schindlers, Barbara Weller, said hospice workers began giving morphine to Schiavo to alleviate pain brought on by her bodys failure.
Weller said Schiavo cried when her mother hugged her Saturday night.
She started crying. She knows whats going on. She was trying to vocalize something with Mary, Weller said. The governor should know that Terri still knows who her mother is and shes extremely distressed. Shes not a vegetable who doesnt know what is happening.
Amen.
Thank you for all your wonderful prayers. You always say what I wished I could.
AMEN Pegita!
which Nader?
Ralphie.. is there another?
Amen.
I share that strong feeling.
I think it's WAY to early to be putting blame on either Bush.
I also think it's sad that this thread has degenerated into a Bush-bashing thread while Terri lies dying, rather than one of prayer and support for her and her family right now.
We could also be using our energy to bring to justice those who pre-meditated her murder. And neither President Bush nor Governor Bush were one of them. We HAVE to remember that or NOTHING will ever be done about this case. We'll all just get bitter at the Bushes for not doing what even we were not willing to do: storm the hospice and possibly lose our lives in an effort to save her. And even if we did rescue her, then what? Her tube would still eventually be pulled. I for one don't want to see her go through this again. And that is exactly what I think would have happened if Jeb had taken her into custody. I think he realizes that all to well. Probably far better than we do.
I have all day....
To think that this mother's child would use the last drops of water in her body to commune with her mother. My heart is broken ...
you ladies are quite correct in your assessment.. I am looking forward to seeing both of you upstairs when the time comes...
Amen, in our King's Blessed Name.
At the throne of God...wow.
Come quickly, Lord Jesus.
She should not need morphine. Congress issued her a Subpoena that was meant to make her feel good, and nothing more.
sorry.. I believe that if those cowardly cops were challenged by the governor or president they would pee their pants and part like the red sea.. but now we'll never know..
This is true. First, though, the enemy had to take out the "Christian Right" and the "conservative" movement. He has succeeded. These factions are fractured to their cores now. What we are seeing has been laying underneath all along. It's out in the open now and all hell is about to break loose.
Dear Governor Bush,
We are praying for you, I cannot even imagine what you must be going through right now, however, please keep in mind that history will judge and this nation based upon the decision you make in the next few hours.
Judge Greer is in contempt of court himself, for refusing to allow Congressional subpeonas to be served on Terri Schiavo and her so-called husband, Michael. Judge Greer must be reigned in now, and you are the only one who can do it for Terri's sake.
God will honor you for your bold actions, your enemies will be put to shame!
Sincerely,
Anthony Verdugo

Please use your executive powers to take Terri Schiavo into protective custody right now. You must act now to save Terri Schiavo. You need no permission from the courts to fulfill your statutory and constitutional duty to act in Terri's behalf, since the executive is equal to the judiciary.
All natural persons, female and male alike, are equal before the law and have inalienable rights, among which are the right to enjoy and defend life and liberty... No person shall be deprived of any right because of ... physical disability.
You have all the authority to remove Terri from those who would kill her and save her life. Indeed, your oath of office requires it:
I, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will will support, protect and defend the Constitution and government of the United States.
Please, for the sake of Terri, rescue her immediately!
Sincerely,
Terri's poor mother--I can't imagine anything worse than watching your daughter die right in front of your eyes, and pleading for help, and there is something that CAN be done, but WON'T---
Me, too. In Jesus' name, we pray.
