Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.

For whatever my word is worth around here, I agree with what you said. Our country is at a precipice... maybe we have already dropped off the edge, and just don't realize it yet. God, have mercy.
What I don't understand is why the media is so shocked at this "last minute" effort. They're all claiming they hadn't heard she'd tried to speak last Friday when WE here all knew. They knew last Friday too, but are still spinning it to be a lie by Gibbs and the family.
I tried, I really tried, to watch FOX this morning but I can't stomach them on the weekends. They're still spouting lies. On the weekends I get my news here. It's much more reliable and I don't have to worry about my blood pressure.

Bush has made it clear that he won't disobey the courts. That's cowardice. The Bush's aren't willing to stand up for what's right.
The culture of death is growing. I'm listening to the radio right now and they tell of a thrift store that recieves donations Friday recieved a cardboard box with a dead newborn baby lying face down in it.

They just said on Fox (and I apologize for the graphic detail) that Terri's toungue and eyes are starting to bleed...and when I heard it all I could think of was Christ dying on the cross....
Heavenly Father, we are witnessing something that is so inhumane and so sad to all of us and yet we, as mere humans are powerless to help our sister Terri, but YOU Lord can do anything, you can raise the dead, heal the sick, make the blind see and now, if it be your will, please heal your daughter and our sister, Terri Schiavo...we ask in YOUR HOLY NAME on this Holy Saturday to hear our prayers.Amen

I'm one of those cynical people who thinks it happened some time ago. This is just the beginning of the worst of it. Rather than most people not realizing how are far we've digressed and being shocked by it, I suspect that it'll be believers like us who are shocked by the future behavior of the majority of our citizens and other Christians who are illustrating right now and will prove to us in the future just have far we've fallen and how seared our collective conscience has become.

To add something, which might seem contradictory to my post, but I don't see it that way...
When Jeb was on his way, with the DCF, to take custody, I never got clear if he had FDLE with him or not. But whatever he had, it was not adequate to the task, as Greer sent word they would be met with police force if they tried, and they backed off.
That is when Greer went totally over the line into dictatorship. He even has people embedded throughout law enforcement who are following his orders and informing on Jeb and the DCF and FDLE. There is an emergency rebellion now coming out of Greer's Judgeship. The man is in violation of many laws, at the same time.
I don't know what precisely Jeb should have done, but with or without Terri as the cause, Jeb needed to see that he just ceded power to George Greer. He needed a plan to reassert his coequal, seperate power. Also, now Jeb's brother has ceded that power to Greer, because he is the only other Executive who could act and hasn't.
Both men try to look at this narrowly and have apparently not grasped the scope and depth of this threat. If they have, they are not letting us in on it.

Dear Father in Heaven, help us all this day to endure and continue looking to you for guidance and hope. Help us to pour our hearts into prayer before you honoring your great goodness. Help us to know that this evil upon us is not of you, but of Satan. Help us to trust that You have some purpose is all of this that we cannot see, whether it be in this life or the next. Please give the Schindler's physical, emotional and spiritual strength to endure this day of hell. Surround them with people who have compassion and can give them comfort in some small, but life-sustaining way. And again, Lord, I plead with you to fill Terri with your Spirit - miraculously help her not to feel the pain of this. Oh dear Lord, my heart grieves so when I think of how Terri's mother had to leave the room upon seeing Terri recently - what greater grief could a mother have!! Oh dear God, help this family speedily. Grab Jeb's heart and don't let it go, Lord!!!!! In Christ's name, Amen.

It doesn't sound as if the Greer Reaper is truly that close to his family with everyone spread over 4 states. Nice spin stating he can be found on the slopes of CO - being on the slopes is one thing but actually "blindly" skiing down them is implied.

Heavenly Father - We beseech Thee to cause Judge George Greer, Michael Schiavo, George Felos, and all other pathetically puny human beings hell-bent on hurting our little Sister, Theresa Marie Schindler, to back off and stop tormenting her. Please place a hedge of protection around Terri. Please open a door for Governor Jeb Bush to walk through in order to save Terri's precious innocent life. In the Name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Master. Amen.

Agreed. I also think that's true with society in general. The apathetic people of this country who haven't cared to take the time to study this case will, I feel, eventually regret it. Especially those that are supporting her murder.
