For whatever my word is worth around here, I agree with what you said. Our country is at a precipice... maybe we have already dropped off the edge, and just don't realize it yet. God, have mercy.
I'm one of those cynical people who thinks it happened some time ago. This is just the beginning of the worst of it. Rather than most people not realizing how are far we've digressed and being shocked by it, I suspect that it'll be believers like us who are shocked by the future behavior of the majority of our citizens and other Christians who are illustrating right now and will prove to us in the future just have far we've fallen and how seared our collective conscience has become.
