Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
Yes!
If you can see, I was trying to find the audio of Judge Greer that I heard.
I felt something in his voice. I won't call it compassion just yet, but resignation perhaps?
Is it possible that Greer would like a way OUT of this and yet save face?
Can Greer turn down a sworn affidavit from a fellow attorney who says she heard Terri say "I waaaaaaa"?
If Greer did say "Why did you take this long to get bring this up...THAT could be a GOOD sign!
I too feel VERY strongly and URGENTLY that we must pray for Judge Greer NOW!
Santorum is beginning to be a major dissappointment, that started with his support of Arlen Specter..
I hope Rich Santorum is not hurt by this. He is a good guy and did the right thing. He said on the radio that the judiciary was not only mocking congress but mocking the citizens of the U.S.
Heavenly Father hear our prayers.
Please touch the heart of Judge Greer with Your love.
Amen
Amen.
Almost exactly what I've been praying.
"Honey, if you ever strangle me and I don't die, take it to court and get lots of money by promising to take care of me for 40 or 50 years. Then, shortly after you get the money, suddenly remember that I am not a Catholic and that suicide is the way I wish to go. You know, starve/dehydrate me to death at my instruction. Don't worry, no one would believe you were murdering me so that your concubine could have a Catholic wedding."
Is that what you mean FMC?
Agreed! That man needs prayer badly! Dear Lord we come to you now, asking you to touch the heart of Judge Greer.. he does not seem to know You Lord.. and he needs You so badly right now! His heart is barren and aching with wickedness! Please cast out the wickedness and replace it with the peace that comes from knowing You.
By the general election you would have rather had Hoeffel?
and in contrast look at how zealously Michael's side is fighting! David Gibbs said in that rehearing at Whittemore's Schiavo's side had what he called "an army of lawyers", why would would you need that unless you were fighting to make sure that your evidence was destroyed (Terri's death)...this is not in defense of Terri's ALLEGED wishes to die, it is a fight to make sure their CRIMINAL ACTIVITIES aren't unraveled!
Amen!
He needs it soon. I think our choices are being set in stone. He needs this not only for Terri's sake, but his own. I pray that the Lord can get through to him.
Yes, the first of those 5 criteria is consent!
Amen! Hear the Prayers of Your children, O Great King!

Amen and Amen
Me too...actually when the Whittemore ruling came, I just sat there and didn't start crying like I did for the other denials, and I wondered why...I thought "am I just that exhausted?" and then I thought Jesus was putting me at peace. I was angry, but in a weird state...maybe we are going to have an Easter Miracle that we don't know about and while I am still angry at the injustice and still worried about Terri's health, I am feeling more like praying and trusting God and doing whatever we can all do on our ends to help Terri's cause. I even had to go to the drug store to get another heating pad because I have developed a stiff neck from the non stop computer use.
