Judge George Greer ruled that the State of Florida has no right to take custody of Terri Schiavo, which ruling came hours after an appeal by Terri's parents to re-insert the feeding tube was refused by the U.S. Supreme Court.
Meanwhile, another hearing was scheduled tonight before US District Judge James D. Whittemore .. the same judge who previously heard and denied the request subsequent to the 'de novo' intention of the law past last weekend by the Congress and signed by President Bush, in an effort to confirm that no stone was left unturned before Terri would endure legally sanctioned dehydration until death.
To come to a thread that allows for discussion and prayer can both be accomplished. All involved deserve, demand our respect and prayers.
I believe the parents are motivated by love of their daughter and her husband (excluding current stuff) is also doing what she had expressed to him.
This has deeply divided many and we need a thread for thoughtful prayer, discussion and reflection.
Amen.
Amen

So glad to see your post, Freepertwo! I've felt the same way all day long. Not sure what it means, but kind of a feeling like it's gonna be okay.
Amen! Amen! Amen! Agreeing with you, dear KM.
Amen to that!!!
Amen
Amen to your Wonderful Prayers!
who knows? the only place I want my name written up in is the Lamb's Book of Life.....
In fact I was dozing off and just had the sense of "not yet" when thinking about all this. I do remember praying that God fashion for Greer a vision of what he has done and give him the opportunity to repent.
As someone just posted, Felos HAS to be mystified at the intense opposition. But of course how could he possibly have anyone to praye with and share thoughts? His must be a truly lonely existence.
Another Amen
I think that was it.
This is ridiculous, here are people asking for a new judge that many times and he refuses....that should raise red flags too! An attorney does not ask for a recusal of a judge unless he has good reason...this is outrageous and should not have stopped there!
Yes!
Apparently, the Congress is backing away as much as the governor. Rick Santorum sounded pitiful yesterday lamenting that the judge "did not do what he was supposed to." Santorum offered no indiciation that the judge could pay a price of some kind for disobeying a law of Congress. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Santorum is a victim of the 2006 elections, after he vowed that Terri would not be starved "on my watch."
Amen to your Beautiful Prayer!
God answers all prayers...sometimes the answer is NO.
Welcome.
When certain people come in like a gang of thugs and post only as an effort of dissension and diversion then it it crap. What they do is not thoughtful quiet discussion, it is bullying and harrassment.. I think neither tactic deserves respect..
I was thinking the same thing. It wouldn't surprise me if Congress told Greer, you've been a bad boy, you will have a time out.
