Get your facts straight...Actually two of the nominated films promoted abortion and euthanasia: Million Dollar Baby and Vera Drake.
Can you help me with the title of the book(s)...might have been two...about the kid and the dog who fights the genetically engineered monkeys and birds on the military base?
And for the ladies on the thread, she has a brother who's about her age. Not sure which of them is older. He's drop dead gorgeous, extremely bright, humble, and an all around very nice man.
The most boring Oscars I can ever remember...
Chris Rock was bad, but less offensive than I thought he would be,
I wanted Aviator/Martie, but Hillary Swank was amazing in the role, as was Jamie Foxx in Ray.
I would have liked to see Sideways get at least Supporting Actress, and screenplay. I thought that was the movie I am most likely to watch again from last year.
But overall a very boring night, no memorable acceptance speeches, and even the Bush-bashing didn't anger me like it used to-- I guess winning and seeing that the Socialists still don't get it doesn't bother me any more.
I suggest for emcee next year: Dick Cheney
Can I still hold onto Vince Foster and Gary Condit? They're my favorites.
??? They would've loved to have given her the Oscar for playing an unrepentant abortionist---why do you think she was even nominated??
Of the thousands of films that are mass produced a handfull are worth one's time and attention.
Just a handfull.
I disagree. It's more like making up for the fact that Mystic River couldn't beat the juggernaut of The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
It's that way with all the arts and always has been.
Beyotch
Tease! I need titles!...I read one of them a few years ago and wanted to see if more were written.
Next year it will be Adam Sandler.
Evidence? What litmus test of yours does he fail?
Hey, the film kills the handicapped as a theme.
Someone mentioned that was what Hitler did to the Jews, which is 100% true and to the handicapped as well.
The academy is heavily Jewish among it's few thousand members and they seemed soul bent as to reward a theme that greatly mirrored what Hitler was doing...killing the living.
Are you surprised about this? I wasn't surprised and expected it all the way.
The same academy liberal Jews most often side with Palestinians which I find crazy. That shouldn't surprise you either. That body "THE ACADEMY" that votes is as bent as it can be.
I also think the heavy Jewish voting block in the academy also banned the block buster of the year, "The Passion" from the Oscars for the most part.
That the dog survived, the kids and even the best friend (now that was un-Koontz, clever but even he had to allow that it was un-explainable! LOL) was wild.
What did I miss, anything good ? Did Sean Penn hold a seance to bring back Ousay and Qusay ?
That exchange sums up why some people will never give these people a break. If they had chosen Staunton...immoral elites...since they didn't...immoral elites.
Whether you are pro life or pro choice, her performance was astounding.
She deserved the award---in my opinion.
