He said FR was taken over by childish people making personal attacks (critisizing him) and that he has started a better site that will be controlled and monitored.

Remember, Lucianne Goldberg (Lucianne.com) did the same thing and do hear anything about her site these days?

I love FR but there seems to be as significant minority who run around attacking conservatives and fellow FR in the most negative, childish way. Like McCain, if they have the liberals on their side, their attacks are redoubled.

I agree with that, and I know Sean has a point, but he's doing the same by bashing and trashing FR and its members.

I never thought of radio astronomy as being the lowest form of astronomy. I'm fully convinced I'll be getting the rebound SETI messages through my tooth fillings.

Actually, when this loyal listener since he started his national talk radio program heard his insulting reference to us proud FReepers, I was really hurt and wondered why I have invested so much of my time listening to him when he apparently has so little regard to the listeners who helped make him successful and that includes his TV show on FNS.

Rush Limbaugh would never insult FReepers although he did put on his website a while back a picture of what he thought FReepers looked like.

I just think 'can you hear me now?' whenever I read about radio astronomy. Sometimes I wish I could just fake something to watch the nerds... errr men of science freak out :o)

I just listened to it and my opinion is he was pimping his website and use us as an example as to why his website is better. It is interesting we were the first name off the top of his head, that says something. As for the fringe element he mentioned, he was trying to give some type of guarantee that his site would be controlled by mod's and I guess luke warm for everyone? or he won't zot people? After listening to it I want to yawn.

Oh spare me, please!!!!!!!!!! Flipper makes me scream!!! I can't believe she is that stupid - don't you need some basic grey-matter to operate the equipment for those shows? Every time I hear her I think of that saying that "she was enough to drive him to drink himself to death." If I were her husband, I think I would be tempted to follow that route.

Free Republic took my request and I have never, even once been back to Lucianne---why would I? If you don't want me-I won't be there---

THat is why I have mixed emotions about this Sean thing--I am angry, but I don't want to be because this site has gotten a lot of good threads off of his show and things said on his radio show---
