there's an element of truth in that.

I think what Sean is calling childishness and attacks is really humor which is one reason I love FR. It makes me laugh. As far as eating our own, we have lively debates where everyone doesn't agree like at DU. But on some threads, especially the ones about immigration and smoking, I guess there is a lot of truth to what he said. I still like Sean, though. I think he is a true conservative and he does a lot of good and we really need him. I'm not going to let critisism change my mind. He does far more good than harm but I do wish he would watch what he says cause I believe FR does a lot of good too, and right now we are being watched by the nation and we don't need to lose our credibility to the nation.

Thanks for the link to what Hannity said. The discussion boards over at Hannity.com are a totally un moderated madhouse with liberals calling names and attacking anyone who dares to disagree with the most vicious words. I couldn't stand it for more than a couple of weeks.

That sort of thing has been going on for years. 4-5 years ago, I had a personal email address for Boortz, from when he used to have it on his web page, 4-5 iterations ago. I'd send in some really obscure items from FR, and sure enough, they be in Nealz Nuze the next day, and he'd talk about them on the show. It was pretty cool.

any reasonably well read, logical, alert warm body can weed out the chaff on FR very easily.

There's plenty of quality posting goin on, on FR all the time on about any tolerable topic imaginable.

BESIDES,

IT WAS THE !!!!FRINGE!!!! elements who FIRST and MOST ACCURATELY IDENTIFIED THE SORT OF PERSON HITLER WAS AND WHAT HE WOULD DO.

I think it's wise to be aware of all kinds of fringe stuff without getting contaminated in the process!

Yet he promotes the website by dogging it, not everyone will see us in a bad light in fact it may cause a surge in new registrations. Some may come to troll and some may be curious and some may be just like us and stay. Sean should also take the "Dixie Chick factor" into thought, some may and do resent him for saying things like that or being hostile to his own kind without being provoked. I think he is so wrapped up in self promotion the fog of success may start to cloud his judgment. Sean is Ed McMahon to Johnny Carson but his is not Carson, Rush Limbaugh is the Carson of talk radio and that will not change.

Oh, please Freepers did not get a big head after rathergate. We had big heads many years before that. I listened to Sean's audio. Am I wrong that FR is the biggest conservative blog/news forum? And he just happened to criticize FR while hawking his own site? As for his claim of "childish comments" and "eating our own" I say guilty, but on what open forum will you not get arguments and some immature remarks? I think Sean was referring to criticism of him, but mostly he was trying to make Freepers think he has a better site.

And how shameless is he suggesting that you're going to meet the guy or gal of your dreams on his blog site?
