Heavy traffic reported at many polling places in the Hartford, CT area. Weather is overcast here, rain expected around dinner time. Polls in CT open 6am - 8pm.
My mother already voted for Dubya and straight Republican via absentee ballot; my husband and I will vote the same way some time today (we live in a small town - 10 minute wait at the most, usually). MANY members of our extended families will be casting votes for Dubya throughout the country.
My husband said that the fact that the market is up today could only bode well for a Bush win (also may have to do with oil prices).
Auburn buying out of that deal really annoyed me. I was looking forward to the trip to Blacksburg as it is a beautiful campus (reminds me a lot of Auburn except in the Blueridge mountains). I have relatives nearby so we were going to make the trip. Would have been fun.
Upperco (Upper Baltimore County), God's country. Polling place is at Mt Carmel and Falls Rd between Hampstead and Hereford.
oh yea, I'm in dem land, CA, near SF.
Every vote counts!
Go 270!
Having lunch with my mom.
I'll be back later!
DAMN DEM'S! The GOP in PA has found 4 machines that have had 1500 ballots put on them BEFORE the polls open. The GOP has inpounded the machines. Heard on FOX.
I have to go, too. Have a great day!
Oh, and two votes for W here in MO. Both my wife and I voted a straight Repub ticket. I live in North Saint Louis County, which is heavy democrat. A lot of union folks. But in the end, MO will go for Bush..
"oh and am still pissed off that PBS showed that Frontline hit piece on Bush again last night! I can't believe taxpayer money is being used to defeat Bush..."
I saw that for the first time last night. I thought it was pretty good and it favored Bush. Bush fought for everything he has.
It also told me a few things that were distorted by both sides. Today is not the day to discuss.
I do wish they showed mored stuff like this instead of all the crap. We can discuss at a later time.
Go Bush!
Thank God Pubbie operatives are on the watch!
turnout looks great in Indianapolis suburbs
we're not a swing state but trying to get rid of 16 year democratic governor stretch which has brought us to the brink of insolvency
GO MITCH DANIELS!
You think that is bad look at this:

New Yorker Dimwits making their way to Philly in bus loads.
Yep... in Philadelphia, surprise, surprise! Also, someone showed a gun to intimidate poll watchers...
looks as if those machines have been oked now. the #s questioned were votes cast during the life of the machine NOT votes cast today
This is the ID process here:
1. A sweet little old lady at the front door checked every person entering, for photo ID, and asked if this was the first time they had voted in this precinct. If they said "yes", she took their drivers license, handed it to an old guy who checked to make sure they were in the correct precinct.
2. You next handed your photo ID to another sweet little old lady, who looked you up in her files, for your voter registration card. She asked you to put down your new address if it was different from the one on the registration card. You signed your name if the information was correct, you checked the box indicating you were voting in a general election, and left that station with your photo ID and the registration card in hand.
3. You moved to the next little old lady who took your voter registration card and handed you the credit card like device that activates the electronic voting machine.
4. And voting for George Bush took less than 2 minutes...(most races are incumbant Republicans running without democrat opponents. hee hee.)
My husband and left the house at 10 AM and returned at 10:27.
Just heard on FOX that those machines in PA the machines that when they turned them on they already had votes on them, a county elections official said that the number is like an odometer which shows the life of the machine not VOTES. developing...
Well now just heard on Fox that Kerry's campaign is disputed the removal of those machines with votes on them. Excuse me admins but F***ING DEMS!
Absolutely pouring now in downtown Columbus OH
FOUR MORE YEARS!
