As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads. I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .
The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion. Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

I just voted - Port St. Lucie FL.
There was about a 20 minute long line out the door and down the side of the building. There was a guy waiting in line next to me wearing Kerry t-shirt. I got kind of a warm fuzzy feeling inside knowing that I was going to essentially cancel his vote with mine heh heh!!
I was proud to cast a straight Republican ballot WOOT!!

Got to the poll in Liberty, MO (Last president this town didn't vote for was Abraham Lincoln) about 7am. Wife and I both voted straight GOP tickets. (Kids did too for their Kids-Vote USA school project - 6 year old daughter calls sKerry a "traitor" and a "liar") Waited in line about 5 minutes, made my mark for the ticket, voted on a couple local issues, and was out the door. No Dem-Libs lurking about at all. Couldn't even identify any who were voting excepting the likely dim vote of the driver of the Passat with the "Pro Choice" and "Celebrate Diversity" bumper stickers.
Went back to the poll about an hour later to take my elderly father to cast his vote, no line whatsoever. Pretty average turnout so far for my precinct.

Heheh!!! My eldest Jedi asked if we were taking the day off! We're indeed doing an abbreviated version of school today, but we're doing school nonetheless! LOL
We always take Sept. 11th off. Make treats for the firefighters down the street...talk about what heros are, talk about the heros we know that are serving our country.

Quick vanity....
Same thing happened to me here in TN, an older woman started talking about what the "mood" in Europe was like when she recently visited.
I politely told her that I could care less what Europeans think about America and that I did not need Europes approval to vote for Bush.
On the upside, I am positive Tn will go Bush.

I'm sitting here and listening to the Tom Marr show on WCBM in Baltimore and right now he has people calling in after having been to vote.
These folks are telling some of the darndest things going on at some of the polling places.
A couple people were complaining of how the touchscreen voting booths were arranged in such a way that others could see who you are voting for.
They a man wearing a Bush?Cheney button was told to remove it as he couldn't wear it in the polling place and yet there were others there who had Kerry buttons on! and weren't harrassed!
Also a poll worker was overheard telling a voter how to change thier vote from Bush to Kerry as the poolworker was basically telling the voter they voted inncorrectly.

About a 2 hr. wait in central OH (Franklin Co.). Some of the time standing in the rain. Very slow voting pace. Caught a few snatches of conversation in the lines and outside, mostly pro-Kerry...:-(
I voted straight Pubbie. Hope it makes a difference. Best wishes to all my fellow citizens out there exercising their freedom and casting their ballots.

Some people do experience a impediment to their speech. I do not have a problem - I actually talk with a lisp when I take it out.
Eating is not a problem - although when you first get it done it's hard to eat and painful, too. I have to take it out sometimes when I have REALLY spicy food.

Just voted here in scenic Brunswick, Ohio. Turnout very heavy here... much more than I expected. Took 45 minutes to vote. Voted for BUSH and FOR ISSUE 1 (Marriage Amendment). No Moron.org folks. One poll watcher (R). A small group of local Dem supporters (3-4 people) supporting a local candidate were there but not harrassing anyone. Also, police were there helping with traffic (should dissuade fraud as well). Lots of signs in the precinct informing voters about penalties for voter fraud. All in all, good experience and I feel good about Ohio. In the parking lot, about 50-50 bumper stickers/signs.
