As I and many of my fellow expatriates are often hard pressed to get any non-biased information from the media (we are often stuck with CNN-International!!), I have decided to start this thread in the tradition of the Operation Iraqi Freedom Situation Room threads. I hope this meets with the approval of Jim & John and the Admin guys . . .
The purpose of this thread is to be a place to collect information from all sources into one area for discussion. Specific threads for specific topics and cross linking are highly encouraged.

I'm just so tickled that the poll workers actually know us...I've suspected it all along, but to have them wave at me and say "Hi, [2Jedismom]!" is pretty cool.
They know my hubby too. He's usually the first person to vote. Not today though...a LINE!

I voted at 8:15 AM. I almost felt like I needed a shower after leaving!! My precient is 70% Democrat. I should have called Orkin to have them spray for RATS!
That said, I proudly cast my vote for George W. Bush and a straight Republican ticket!

Hi, I'm a 23 year old tattooed and tongue-pierced Republican. Things are not always what they seem!LOL! That is great! Tattooed here, too! I guess I don't look the type, because people are always suprised when they see them. Mine are easily hidden (no, not there! LOL!).

I also voted via FedEx (Colorado) early October. Don't know where you are but out here in Edmonton we have a ton of expats like me who really know which is the only choice B/C04.
Not too many liberals out here in Alberta. I know of plenty of Albertans who support Bush
. not much love for those left wing, pabulum pucking, red rose, snivelling liberals.
We are planning a lovely party this evening in Edmonton. We have to hold it in my house because no bar / lounge will allow us to switch from the beloved sports to the only news of the day.
Enjoy the day. Vote early and vote often.

What part of Canada was your dad from?
My mom was from Saskatchewan, Canada.
BTW, She's not a US citizen and I'm kinda glad because she can't vote and she is a Kerry person, ugh!
Please forgive my rudeness earlier.

My voting experience in Montgomery County, MD (MD-8):
I got to the polls 15 minutes after they opened, the line was out the door to just past the "no electioneering beyond this point" markers. Kerry/democrat folks were out handing out last minute "visual reminders"; about 10 minutes after I arrived, the Bush/Cheney/Pipkin/Floyd table went up.
Folks in line were good-natured and avoided discussing any particular candidates or issues -- most were reminiscing on how this was the busiest they've ever seen it at the polls. Inside the building, we were split up into four lines (A-D, E-K, L-R, S-Z) -- by some statistical blip, only the middle lines were long... while I was waiting (and waiting) in my line, they were going out to the hall and outside to pull in A-D and S-Z voters.
I'm assuming there are quite a few independent or third-party registrants, as I was R-11 at my check-in, and a sneak peek at the sheets showed only 18 democrats.
The whole process took about 50 minutes.
