Cheney just copped out by thanking JE for saying nice things about his family, when he should have accused him of bringing up the issue "to divide the country", which is what Edwards accuses him of. I thought it was classy how Cheney 'copped out'.

IMHO, the VP's saying he wasn't familiar with the details of Edwards' cases was a mistake. Now Edwards can come out with all kinds of exaggerations and myths in the sob stories of his cases, and Cheney can't call him on it.
