So has anyone else caught the fact that the 'header' on the May 04, 1972 memo is CENTER JUSTIFIED!
The only reason I mention it is I remember trying to do the exact same thing in the early 80's with an IBM Selectric and it took a LOT of work to get anything to come out looking as good as I needed it. Heck, I even remember counting letters and spaces to pre-plan where on a line to start typing and if the number of characters on every line wasn't always either odd or even, you simply couldn't do it perfectly.
Watching all the FOX programs this evening, I keep wondering why they are not using the "Barnes was not even Lt.gov when Bush enlisted". I keep seeing it here on FR. Is there something here that we are missing? It seems to me that it should be the salient point in debunking his story.
Well, so far, only 3 people have noticed the lack of an SSIC number on the letter.
The fact that it slipped by the "reporters" at CBS shows how non-military Dan-the-Newsman is.
(Devil's advocate ques) Yes, but would a personal memo necessarily contain an SSIC number?
That makes no sense. Why would that one 111 be different from all the others and the st as well? I'm thinking that is just a smudged misprint.

When I was stationed at GTMO, they told us that the GTMO golf course used to be a beauty until Castro cut off the fresh water supply. Now that all the water comes out of the desalinization plant at a hefty price, the GTMO golf course is brown, dusty and bone dry. The sand traps are mined, too. (Well, not really.) ;-)
In another bit of Navy golf trivia, the front lawn at Bethesda Naval Hospital used to be a small golf course back in the old days.

I've read most of the dirt on the man. I'm trying to figure out why the argument that he was not Lt. Gov at time of Bush enlistment is not being used. Can a Speaker of the House pull the kind of strings he is claiming to pull?
Gasp, you mean my brother was wrong? lol Can't say he & I have talked about the subject since around 1980. For all I know, he could have been talking about a potential machine & it was a strategy they were looking at to reduce noise (visual) & add speed.
IT is a lie!..He might have made some calls for some friends to get into the Guard but the ANG was looking for pilot candidates at that time I have read from various sources...no pull needed...
Did someone make a call for GW?...I haven't a clue, but not at his Dad's behest I am willing to say without doubt....and not Ben Barnes.

That report could not have been typed in full in 1968. The last line would have been typed in 1973 at the earliest. Would this report be the kind put into & outta the typewriter or would it be an overall recap of previous activities?
