what's really burning me is they keep show harkins calling W. a liar when he's the one caught lying about his vietnam (or lack thereof) service as a fighter pilot. this guy is an idiot...but nobody is calling him on it....what's with that?
Whoever thinks that the White House knew these were frauds but didnt say anything because they wanted to wait until the 60 mins segment aired so that they could make CBS and Dan look like a bunch of fools, raise their hand.
Also, in light of this perpetrated fraud, it should be interesting to see how fast NBC pulls the plug on Kitty.

Just for further reference, are you referring to the specific document files you got from the CBS internet site? And I assume that you are just downloading .pdf files themselves, and not image files? If they are .pdf files, when you go to Edit on the Acrobat Reader menu with the document open, is the Find function disabled?
Even if these files themselves are just images and not searchable, it still should be verified absolutely that Acrobat Writer (the .pdf creator software, as opposed to Acrobat Reader, which is a viewer) does not modify the look of the document in any way. Just don't want to leave any conceivable loopholes here.
