Fury in Dem-Land: Bloggers Want Kerry to Hit Back By Susan Jones CNSNews.com Morning Editor September 02, 2004

(CNSNews.com) - Democrats on Thursday described Republicans as the "angry party," but rank-and-file Democrats were the ones venting their fury on Republicans -- via a Democrat-sponsored blog, calling "Kicking A**."

Many of the people posting comments on the "daily dispatches" website said it's time for Kerry to fight back. What's he waiting for, they asked.

"Last night, the Republican Party proved once and for all that it has nothing to offer the American people," says the Democratic National Committee's Kicking A** website.

"The vice president couldn't articulate his president's vision for the future -- because there isn't one. A Republican Senator who perversely likes to call himself a Democrat lied over and over and over again to the American people while revealing the inexplicable rage that motivates him.

"On a night where the theme was 'Land of Opportunity,' we learned that Republicans aren't the least bit interested in making America a better place. All they have to offer are anger, fear, and despair..."

Responding to the posting, one presumed Democrat wrote, "We are losing folks."

\ldblquote We need an ad campaign on TV comprised of close-ups of the bitter divisive anger of Schwarzeneggar, Miller, Delay, Bush, Buchanan, Hannity, North, Rumsfeld, and more, along with the voiceover of their rage," said another reader.

"Take off the kid gloves, John Kerry! Let's get down in the dirt and bare-knuckle 'em," said someone else.

"Hey wake up DNC! We need Kerry to come up with a strong recognizable slogan that sums up the failures of the Bush administration," said yet another responder.

Here are some of the other comments from frustrated -- and angry -- Democrats:

"If we lose because we don't hit back harder than they do, we deserve what we get. I am tired of Kerry getting beat up and feeling like I'm taking the hits."

"WHAT THE HELL IS KERRY WAITING FOR???? WHAT THE HELL IS MARYBETH [Cahill] WAITING FOR? Now is NOT the time to be polite ... it's time to FIGHT!"

"Why can't we be angry too? I sure am. It's time to start hitting back hard. God knows they don't have any restraint. It would be sad to lose because we're too civilized."

'General election sprint' begins

The Kerry-Edwards campaign announced on Thursday that it was beginning the "general election sprint" with two new ads that will highlight the fundamental choice in this election.

According to the Kerry people, that choice boils down to "four more years of an administration that puts the interests of the few ahead of middle-class families, or the Kerry-Edwards plan that understands a stronger America begins at home with good paying jobs, affordable health care, energy independence and a stronger, safer country."

Wasting no time, Sens. Kerry, Edwards and their wives planned to hold a midnight rally in Springfield, Ohio, Thursday -- after President Bush addresses the Republican National Convention -- then split up for four separate tours of battleground states.

Also on Thursday, Kerry supporters were holding a conference call to "preview" President Bush's Thursday-night speech to the Republican National Convention.

"Regardless of which issues Bush discusses -- Social Security reform, Health Savings Accounts, or tax reforms -- one thing that is constant: all of these are failed plans for middle class families that will move America in the wrong direction," the Kerry campaign said in a press release.

He’s waiting for French approval to do that.

Fortuneately the French are bogged down by the islam-a-nazis who are holding their entire nation hostage. By the way, it seems to me that they only had 48 hours to surrender about 4 days ago, so what's happened?

After the GOP Convention wraps up things are going to get very, very ugly.

Do ya really think so! I HOPE SO, TOO!!! Then we will see these life-loving "liberals" for what they really are. Remember Barney Frank (ANOTHER one of Massachusetts's "finest" politricksters, dubbed master of the quip by graduates of the "finest" schools of journalism, who said, "A conservative (pro-lifer) is someone who respects life from conception to birth." Well, now, ain't that just special! Consider the fact that liberals believe in cradle-to-grave MISEDUCATION, and are the consummate masters of the abuse, degradation and manipulation of language. Consider the fact that liberals are no longer content to live and let live, nor to live in peace with the rest of us (a peace that they so proudly, loudly and hypocritically proclaim) - but that they would rather not let us live at all! (I do not think I exaggerate all that much; just review some of the more dangerous behavior by these unstable idiots during this convention week!)

Going off on a tangent, here, but since the sparks will be flying in every which direction after the Republican Convention, we might as well get an early start!

Too civilized?? What fantasy world has this guy been living in. Is he talking about the Kelly-supporting pigs protesting outside MSG, or that swine Michael Moore, or that drunk Ted Kennedy, or lunatic Gore, or delusional George Soros, or the clueless hollywood crowd, or stuck-in-the-60's dontMoveOn.org, Tom Brokaw, Dan Rather, Jennings, etc.,etc.??

Their problem is that they shot their wod (or spitball) and now the big guns are coming after them.

They're done!!

Talk about Vietnam or your voting record. That will show them!!

ROTFLMAO! Great photo! Looks like bipolar disorder or multiple personality disorder to me! Yes, no, yes, no, where's my Zoloft, Paxil, Prozac and Lexapro! Did I skip any? Maybe. Hey, Kerry-crats,just say NUANCE a hundred thousand times and pose as intellectuals, as opposed to The Great Unwashed that the rest of us are, in your eyes. Does the Kerry Regime plan to establish apartheid or a caste system in America? Hearing some of these DHIMMICRATS/DUMMYCRATS/DEMON-RATS speak, we had all better keep vigilant! If Kerry does win the election, these liberal bureaucrats are going to try to bring the fourth branch of government (the regulatory alphabet-soup) to perfection. Am I paranoid or what?

The fun thing about this is that we do NOT have to play nice in the sandbox like President Bush. We do NOT have to call Kerry a "great American" who is "truly concerned" about his country. I, for one, do not think Kerry is either!

I guess we have discovered how Kerry would wage a "more sensitive war on terrorism"?

I have a slogan for Kerry: "It takes a zippo to raze a village."

I laughed out loud, and then I realized that it doesn't really flow quite right, and then I laughed some more anyway...

You want to see "anger," and experience "fear," walk the streets of Manhattan wearing a Bush-Cheney t-shirt. You want to see "despair," go visit Democratic Underground.

Speaking of which, would someone please tell Kerry to come pick up his personal property?

They gotta be kidding - sending teRAYzah out on tour, alone among the toothless dirt eaters. This will be fun.

I'd really like to drop in at the DUmmy web site, but our server blocks that site (TGFSW). Bet they are having suicidal thoughts there today.

"a strong recognizable slogan"

Right. You don't need a policy, or a country. Just a tag line.

"we lose because we don't hit back"

Exactly. You won't hit back at our terrorist enemies. Oh, you consider Republicans your enemies, not the enemies of your country who are actually trying to kill you? With those, your prescription is not to "hit back", is it?

"Now is NOT the time to be polite ... it's time to FIGHT!"

Certainly. But you want to fight your fellow countrymen, who only want to fight our enemies. Your candidate wants to be polite to our enemies instead. You have both idiocies, and see that to win you must fight when the opponent is a republican, but refuse to see that to win you must fight when the enemies are terrorists. Why are you in favor of being polite to the terrorists when you aren't in favor of being polite to Republicans? Because your party's hold on power is your country, and your country is a foreign land - that's why.

"God knows they don't have any restraint". Correct, the Muslim terrorists have no restraint. So why is your party's position that we must treat them with kid gloves? And why is your rage reserved for domestic political opponents, never for actual enemies of our country who want you and me dead?

Given the polls Kerry will be forced to come out swinging - some ugly things are probably going to be stated

The problem is the gun is empty. Everything they could shoot at Bush was done 4 years ago. His past is already been combed through and no one cares about his college days or his Guard Service (which has already poven to be honerable anyway).

They keep saying the same thing about the last 4 years and they can't really add to it. They just keep repeating that idiotic mantra "2 Americas..." while Joe Sixpack and Jane SoccerMom fill in the ending "... the one Kerry and Edwards live in and the one we live in."

Really, what can they say that's "ugly"? They don't like Laura's outfits? (actually, they already have come out with that one).

Lookin' good for Bush!

I never am surprised how low these people will go in an attempt to win. Slimming is their way.

The DNC is gut shot by now. It is going to be painful to watch and it even going to be more painful to be a Democrat.

Kerry has come unglued. His appearance in the wee hours did nothing to further his cause. Edwards looked like he wished he were anywhere but there. Kerry just looked delusional, as if it's dawning on him that TerAYsa's billions can't fix the race for him. And he's not happy, folks.
