Fox News is playing "The Nutcracker Suite" as background music for the fireworks. Must be their tribute to Ronnie (I'm not a Junior) Reagan. ;)

on FNC gretta is gushing.

Does anyone have a list of the party affiliations of fox reporters and personalities?

Is this news? Why is Fox giving all this free airtime?

"Let's not go negative"=don't point out the things I say that are not true..

Even more to the point, it means, "don't call me a liar like I call you a liar".

Maybe we can arrange a truce with Kerry, and tell him, "if you stop lying about us, we'll stop telling the truth about you."

"I still waiting to hear the statistics on how many others (who weren't carried out on a stretcher) left Viet Nam after 4 months of service there"

I have heard he's the only one, but not positive about that as fact.

Kerry mentioned the Constitution for a very specific reason. He's setting up to accuse Bush of negative campaigning to seek a constitutional amendment to protect the traditional definition of marriage. Since about 70% of all citizens object to the Massachusettification of the nation, that will be a greatly losing issue for Kerry.

Probably not, but strategically, I would leave that alone. I would focus on his testimony before the Congress about his band of brothers who are all war criminals.

I agree! If they are smart that is exactly what they will do.(it could be big like Al Gores exagerations) I am just concerned they are not that smart.""

HEY FREEPERS....LETS NOT PUT ALL THE FAITH IN THE CAMPAIGN FOLKS. I have spokent with the Bush Campaign national office twice in the past 6 days. TRYING TO GET THEM TO LOOK AT THE ARTICLES (which are posted on FR) THAT SHOW THAT....BUSH VOLUNTEERED FOR VIETNAM, but was advised that he did not have enough flight hours.
ITS LIKE DEALING WITH A BRICK WALL. All you get is some bubbly headed intern who does not realize that if the dems falsely scream that Bush dodged Vietnam enough..it will affect some of the swing votes.

I am faxing them the article in the morning...again.

A gal named Nicolle Devenish is a Communication Director.
Until they get off their cans and realize what is going on....I will be a thorn in their side.

Here's the quote you are looking for...

"I think there's been an exaggeration; [President Bush] has exaggerated the threat of terrorism. There needs to be a refocusing, They are really misleading all of America... in a profound way. "

Seeking a constitutional amendment is unconstitutional? I must admit I have a bias against those who see unconstitutionality under ever tree. It is rampant on this very site. LOL.

They're already under fire for running such a negative campaign and swing voters are sure to feel alienated by such "politics of division,

The Kerry campaign alone has aired almost as many negative ads in addition to this half-negative convention.

Of course Estrig and other lefty commentators will not mention the moveon.org and other 527 ads and the psycotic speeches, and the leftist books coming out, and the moore movie. The candidacy founded on hatred will have more negative ads.

What a corny speech. Did you see when everyone was supposed to shout " Help is on the way". About as enthusiastic as Saddam coming out of his hole. Matter of fact, you won't see a picture of Saddams capture at the DNC, will ya?

And that crap about Win the Peace? Like the democrats did in 1993 after the first Muslim Terrorist Attack on the WTC. Yeah, they won the peace by fight and act of war with subpoenas, indictments and putting an old blind cripple in jail and letting a real terrorist hide in Iraq!

Oh and what about "Restoring America at her Best". America was at her best when we didn't kill 3000 babies every single day and encourage homosexuals to marry and raise children.

And when it comes to being on Gods side, You can be sure that at least the GOP ( I hope) is trying to be on God's side while anyone or group that supports abortion and or homosexuals is marching away from any God or any salvation.

I think this ole Kerry was terrible tonight. He kept speaking right through applause and seemed he was in a room by himself. Lots of sweating and saluting but no excitement, or passion.

Lets go GOP, bring it on baby

Democrats believe the homosexual marriage issue is a winner if they attack it from the ammendment angle.

Every single person who I ahve explained to (in person not here on FR) does understand why an amendment is the only viable guaranteed way to protect marriage.

Of course I can add my legal training as help but kerry/backwards are going to lie and say this is still a states rights issue.

You folks in Florida have all those butterfly ballots ready again?
Nope. Actually except for OCR balots its all EEElectronic with no paper trail. Color me nervous! :-(

I'm definitely volunteering for our GOP - thanks again for your Support Our Troops contribution - I'm glad we could spread the words of support to our guys and gals defending us! ;-)

Government intervention that cost me my job is ok. Government intervention to protect my job is bad because the ivory tower types can't feed their greed by screwing me via Bush's policy on trade.

I take it you lost your job due to something the gov't did? And it's Bush's fault? You are the only person I've ran across that this has happened to.

So what. Find another job. Or, better yet, find something people need and supply it to them. Sart you own business. $30k a year sucks anyway. Hell, $30k a month sucks.

It's America. Sky is the limit!

Yeah, he'll win over people by thinking if he pretends to be a Republican, their hearts will melt for him. What I think killed this speech is its utter lack of honest, heartfelt sincerity.

BINGO.

If you are something that you can't be proud of as you are running for high(est!) office, people are going to avoid your insincerity like the plague. [I think his dying mother, bless her soul, was trying to TELL him something here...]

He has the most liberal voting record of ANY senator, yet cannot be proud of it. He will madden his weenie progressive base and disgust the average uninvolved moderate with his lack of a core.

That's not the message on this issue and not all outsourcing steals jobs. Companies will often hire locals in foreign countries to obtain resources in those countries, along with US citizens.

How many in the public have you talked to?! That is exactly the issue and the message. This administration is telling us free trade is good for us while it is costing people middle class incomes in great numbers. I'm handicapped and buried in medical bills and repair bills from two major hospital visits, plumbing and electrical repairs in the last 12 months. And now I'm losing my middle class income in a town of 60k where good jobs are sparse to begin with. I got a good break to get this job after 14 years of dreaming one day I'd get in. Getting hired at Chrysler and Delco locally is done largely on a lottery system because the jobs are so hard to get. And Delco is outsourcing every bit of their operation here. The Delco facility right next to where I work has been taken apart bolt by bolt and shipped to Mexico. My facility is literally being taken apart around me while jobs there go to Mexico. They Go live next monday starting taking calls away from our call center. This ain't politics to me or to anyone else in this town or elsewhere that I've talked to. This is personal. You screw with my taxes and I may pay a little more. Your policies cost me my job and now we aren't talking about paying higher taxes, you've just cost my my ability to function. That is personal. And America sees it in that light.

Bush doesn't seem to get it. Nor do the people making a percentage off it in our party. But the will has to exist in our party to stand up to the crap and demand something be done. WHERE is it. Some of us here fought an uphill battle to the point where the free traders know they're in trouble. But many will only whisper about it for fear of how they might be treated. Either we stand up and reign in the jackasses in our own party, or we risk losing the whitehouse and both houses of congress. Bush doesn't have a Jimmy Carter to blame this on. Reagan did and the blame was aptly laid at Carters feet by right. Bush owns this blame right along with Clinton.

This party isn't about screwing Americans for a percentage. Some people in it are; but, this party isn't. And America will repay the screwing for a percentage in kind. What are you going to do now, Mr. President? That's my question. I'm already screwed. How does the president view the livelihoods of americans who his policies have cost their jobs. This is the precipice. And the clock is ticking.

I would like Bush to force Kerry to answer the question, "If you were President on 9-11, what would you have done?"

You see, this is another example of why Kerry was so bad tonight. He said he won't go to war until he has to but that was the exact philosophy that brought us September 11. He talked about building a coalition to fight terrorism but I have heard Rumsfeld say that the coalition fighting terrorism is the largest in history. He talked about the United States being respected for representing freedom but the Bush administration has liberated 50 million people.

I could go on and on but the FACTS will derail Kerry. Since he didn't go to the left Kerry has set himself up to be compared to Bush in a way he just can't win.

The fact of the matter is that negative ads work. Some of the greatest, most effective ads in my memory are negative ads. Lyndon Johnson and the nuclear bomb ad. Reagan and the bear in the woods ad. The Willie Horton ad. All effective. And good Lord, what an inviting target John Kerry makes!
