NBC breaking says for sure it's Edwards for veep
You are right about the campaign and that ad with McCain was sitting there waiting for the VP announcement! Great to showcase Kerry's #1 pick for VP who happens to be supporting Pres Bush!
No, they're expecting to surrender...
I am sure Nunn wouldn't want the hassle of going through a campaign. He might be offered the job of SecDef. I am amazed about everyone extolling Edwards' charisma and the excitement he brings to the campaign. Edwards could only win one primary against a boring, dull candidate like Kerry. So what's changed?
ROTF!!! It's a very good day in the neighborhood. Happy Birthday, Mr. President!
LOL...with HRC, its all crap, all the time so I don't count her & her minions out on anything!
If anyone bothers remembering last week, all the 'buzz' was that Terry McAwful wanted Kerry to pick Edwards. And Terry & His Pirates don't do squat without checking with 'The Beast' first.
Ergo, Edwards was Hitlery's selection -- period.
As such the behind the scenes sabotage will soon commence, leaks will come out every other news cycle and the two Johns, or Johns2, will be in damage control 24/7. Both Kerry's & Edwards 'camps' are filled with clintonistas and those kool-aid drinkers have only one goal - Hitlery in '08.
So this is a setup for failure by her and her minions, nothing more.
Just goes to prove who's really calling the shots at Kerry Campaign HQ. LOL
Lurch makes a decision and ends up in a armlock scissor hold on the floor by Marty Meehan. LOL
"if they had found a couple of WMDs"
I believe they have - on several occasions but it does not seem to matter anymore.
...a crappy deal for the American people?
Bush's personal negatives are in the 20's and his positives in the 60's.
The economy is strong and will stay that way. The country of Iraq is sovereign and free because we liberated it.
And Kerry and Edwards are losers.
Be happy.
No. I believe Nader is/was a trial lawyer like Edwards. So they are kindered spirits.
The only other option Kerry has (Florida is lost) is to try to get NH and NV. If you look at the map, he has to get all of the Gore states (IA, MN, WI, NM, OR will not be easy, PA and MI are not slam-dunks either) and has to pick up something else. FL is out of bounds and the only shot there was Bob Graham who would have been a disaster for other reasons. He might get NH and NV, but he has to manage it without losing anything, so he can't specifically tailor his message to them, or he can try to win Ohio. That's the only chance he's got.
Yes, the Kerry Campaign can use this info.
"See, Edwards was a great choice. Markets saw that Edwards on the ticket increased my election chances, so the markets promptly tanked."
"That is, except for Hong Kong's Hang Seng index, which partially represents Communist China's interests."
LOL! You probably thought Hillary was Kerry's VP choice too, right? It's been a done deal and it will be Bush / Cheney.
Choosing the "fair haired John-boy" Kerry is suggesting he thinks a person with only part of one term in the senate can be the leader of the free world....not now....
Says a lot about Kerry's judgement.
Given recent trends in voter identification and participation, I'd have to put the "vast middle" at no more than 8% of those that show up at the polls (and that's with a high turnout), and probably closer to 5%. Considering each of the 3 previous Presidential elections turned on a fringe candidate biting into the extremes of the loser's base when that loser chased the "middle", and that there is no "viable" fringe candidate (Nader won't be on most of the ballots this time), ignoring a chunk of the base to chase that 5% middling is a loser's game.
Boom-a-laka, Boom-a-laka, sis boom Bah.
There, is that enough cheerleading for you?
You say, be happy. Right now I'd rather be wrong.
