I'm not going to read over 700 posts to see if this is the only one, but my wife just said that the Dems now have what should be known as "THE JOHN-JOHN TICKET."

Check the tagline.

I wasn't proud about it before I was.

How much do you suppose that populist Edwards spends on his hair?

Yes, it is frightening.

In a healthy society, people like Michael Moore would disappear under a wave of public rejection, and The Nameless One would be trying (unsuccessfully) to hawk his lie-a-ganza on late-night infomercials titled "Remember Me?"

A couple of screencaps I caught this morning, as the news was just breaking on the cable networks. Foreign markets didn't seem overly impressed with the news:

So the 4-month veteran and the 4-year senator are expecting to lead this nation in a time of war?

Here in Oklahoma Edwards two America's theme in his campaign commercials was ridiculed right and left during the primary but then Kerry came in 3rd after Edwards who came in 2nd after Clark. In my precinct Dems wanted none of the above on the ballot according to the people at the polls. But then some wanted to vote for Bush in their primary also.

Our radio people picked that theme apart as Edwards was a rich trial lawyer. That's how Clark won here -- a lot of talk on the radio for RATs to vote for Clark the alternative to the two rich lawyers.

Any big business that was considering supporting Kerry got their wake-up call this morning -- two lawyers on the ticket -- very bad for business interests!

You're right... however I think a guy like Nunn would be committing suicide with a rusty spoon after a couple of days with Kerry :o)

I understand Edwards is known for his abilities in court to sell anything to anyone in whatever way it takes to do it. Maybe its that thing on his lip that mesmerizes people but apparently he could sell high-end air conditioners in Alaska during the winter season if he wanted to do so and make a pretty good living at it...

I'm afraid many of the elected are much loonier than us. Let's see...Jim McDermott, Maxine Waters, Dennis Kucinich, Ted Kennedy (even when sober), Eddie Bernice Johnson, Grey Davis, the list goes on and on. Funny thing....95% of them are Democrats!

Yes, I believe if Bush loses this thing it will be written as the campaign of overlooked opportunities or the turn the other cheek campaign.

Finally, we would be laffin' if they had found a couple of WMDs. Historians, at least, will see the courage of this President even if the electorate does not.

From a local bulletin board:

***Wait until you see the advertisement of Edwards hauling his cash to the bank in a wheelbarrow, going by the OB/GYN office putting out the " closing going out of business sign"

Back then you could have a brokered convention -- now it is cut and dried -- Kerry is the nominee but then I never did think Hillary would run this year! It was too risky for her to run against Pres Bush and ignite Republicans.
