I think I might be more concerned about the Supreme Court than the WOT. Believe it or not. For all of Kerry's international talk, there's a chance he'll act tough when he gets in (plus it may only be 4 years.) But his SC picks (Hillary Clinton) could last 30 years!

CAVUTO says...Corporate America, HATES Edwards (trial lawyers in general)...and the market will show it today...

The worry for Corporate America is that with Edwards on the ticket, what could happen for Tort Reform if the become elected...says Cavuto.

Also, Cavuto says, if Edwards if fighting for the little guy, then the vilification of Corporate America by Edwards will cause more negatives against the ticket...

IMHO, the Bush campaign has been waiting to see who Kerry picked in order to tailor their ads. Plus the fact that other than the politically tuned-in nobody pays much attention to this stuff right now.

I just heard they released a new ad this morning called "First Choice" featuring McCain.

If the Kerry/Edwardsn poll numbers drop before the convention, will Kerry try to get his "pick" annulled?

Reagan almost took it from Ford in 76. Hillary probably could take it from Kerry.

Cavuto: Picking Edwards has "ignited the ire of Wall Street."

Neil, which "Wall Street"? The side dominated by "big business", or the one dominated by "institutional traders", or both?

Good point on the 2 America's. Unbelievable hypocrisy.

Edwards will motivate business. No one likes a trial lawyer. I don't think it will help here in Florida either...malpractice insurance is out of control here.

This will give sKerry a bump in the polls just because people like new things - though these days, only for about 10 minutes. Edwards will remind everyone of the last car salesman they felt swindled by, or else the last TV preacher who tricked their grandma out of her last $20 bucks. He's slimey.

From Fox News, December 28, 2003:

CHRIS WALLACE: Do you have any interest in being the vice presidential nominee? And specifically, would you accept it if offered?

JOHN EDWARDS: I'm absolutely not interested in being vice president. No, the answer to that question is no.

Oh wait, he's back to the Vietnam topic

Speaking of Viet Nam, Edwards and I are the same age... many of my classmates went to Viet Nam. Obviously Edwards did not. Does this take kerry/mcauliffe "George Bush is a draft dodger" issue off the table?

You and I both know, the ticket of John-John will blame the drop in the market on Bush.

If they try to spout off that Edwards will deliver a ''positive'' message, we need to remind them that John Edwards' campaign circulated a confidential briefing book in Iowa that instructed supporters on how to attack his Democratic rivals during the Iowa caucuses.

It said, of John Kerry, ''He can't claim to change America because he has been part of the failed Washington politics for too long.''

It had a ''fact check'' section that was titled ''Another Kerry Exaggeration,'' It said the senator under-reported the cost of his health care plan. It also criticizes Kerry's labor, trade and environmental voting records.

Sam Nunn was the ONLY RAT that I was concerned about but heard sometime ago that he would NEVER run with Kerry but who knows.

This must have been the hour he chose Edwards since his own wife said he changed his mind on the VP candidate by the time of day. Morning must have been Edwards! But then Kerry is #2 as Teresa said she would give all her money back to have her first Senator husband back alive recently. Kerry cannot even get a break with his own wife and has a hard time making up his mind.

Edwards is probably the one pick he could have made that has very little mind of his own not to mention a trial lawyer! Remember the Edwards people from the Dean blog -- they hated Kerry and wanted the Dean supporters to go to Edwards not Kerry.

Of course not. Remember, Lurch has hero quality enough for both of them.
