LIVE THREAD--Reagan State Funeral Ceremony: Lying in State at the Rotunda (6/11/04)
Ken, you said, '...understand...and remember, my friend, and pity me..there are Episcopalians, and then there are EPISCOPALIANS...our schism is coming soon...'
Keep the faith, bro. There's info for faithful Episcopalians at
http://trad-anglican.faithweb.com/
Lingo they use, "Anglican" = God-fearing Episcopalians.
Check it out if you have not already done so.

Quix said, 'I suppose we could pray for a blinding flash of Holy Spirit such as has left certain Biblical characters speechless, incapable of speech?'
Amen.

Fawnn said, 'Listening to Lady Thatcher makes me almost mourn that we didn't have Free Republic during President Reagan's administration'
Ken5050 succinctly replied But Al Gore hadn't invented the Internet yet.
Precisely.
But it would have been difficult to download streaming video with a 300 baud modem on an 8088.
M55 ... read the question, "you can bet Bill Clinton is wondering how he will be remembered!!!"
And then M22 answered with another question, 'Who's Bill Clinton?'
LOL.
Doing well. I recommend retirement to everyone ;-)
TennBob posted the picture of the marine saluting President Reagan's coffin at the Capitol rotunda, a brave young man who has lost his right hand.
I was thinking, that it must be a recent injury. If it were from awhile ago, he would have a prosthesis, no?
'104,684 paid their respects at the Capitol.'
thanks for this info.
Does anyone have a link to this beautiful song "Going Home" from the New World Symphony by Dvorak the way it was played at Andrews? All I can find is a Midi type song.
I never, ever regained it. When the Irish Tenor began with Ava Maria, I knew a box of tissues wouldn't last the day. Not wanting to miss a beat, I stayed glued to the TV and never logged on. I was tempted to after hearing Ron's caustic comment and thought it might have been directed at GWB. After it was over, I was too exhausted from crying to log on. What a beautiful ceremony from start to finish. Will read the live thread to see what people's take was on bitter Ron. Perhaps I jumped to the wrong conclusion but I trust my instincts when my hair stands on end and all strands were erect.
LOL
that's about one quarter of one percent of current speed, rough estimate, or much less than that?
hmmmm ...
Very smart man. :nods:
THANKS!
One never knows when such prayers of agreement may bear startling fruit!
1. Make sure you use blanks?
2. If disregarding the first one, make sure you're not aiming at the neighbors' windows, automobiles, or pets?
If you've got kids who shoot, I imagine they'd get a kick out of being the one who calls the commands!

THE MANSIONS OF THE LORD from the movie "We Were Soldiers" To fallen soldiers let us sing Where no rockets fly nor bullets wing Our broken brothers let us bring To the Mansions of the Lord No more bleeding, no more fight No prayers pleading through the night Just divine embrace, eternal light In the Mansions of the Lord Where no mothers cry and no children weep We will stand and guard though the angels sleep Through the ages safely keep The Mansions of the Lord
.
For RONNIE REAGAN was a Soldier...
fighting for the Freedom of All.
.....HOLY...!!!!
