I've always admired your optimism, and enthusiasm, and I think Condi did a great job, but what leads you to make this splendidly unequivocal statement?

Because I believe that enough of America has learned to read between the lines that the media tries to put forward against this administration. I believe that enough people are fed up with the race-baiting tactics of the Democrats. I also believe that enough Americans can recognize true brilliance when they see it put before them in the case of Condi Rice. I believe the sheer spectacle of this Black woman sitting before the worst that the Democrats have to offer, handling them with grace, knowledge, skill and competence, unshakable, unflappable, unafraid.

I believe that what Condi Rice did today, is a lesson for all of us, in how to deal with our enemies. First, know your subject better than them. Second, show no fear and smile all the time. Third, do not allow yourself to be knocked off message by responding emotionally to attacks.

We got the blueprint today, and I believe we have nothing to fear in November.

We'll be waiting for the protest statement from Jessie and the NAACP for treating her like an Uppity Black!! Oops sorry, they are busy finding some rope, a tall branch and short horse! Maybe they should change their name to the NAAKKKP

Pray for Condi and The Truth

to be honest, many of them viewed the loss of their husbands more as a financial bonanza and a chance to "get on with their own lives". some cantor fitzgerald widows, who argued that because their husbands made 400K a year, that their compensation should maintain them in the lifestyle they had become accustomed to. for them, 9/11 was just a different form of a divorce.

I also thought that no one could replace Clinton on my most hated list but Kerry has managed to do just that. He's my Senator and ,to be honest, though I never liked him he always seemed to fly under the radar. Never knew HOW horrible he was.

Drone on,drone on and on and on..He is a most depressing man.Boring!I saw his interview when he called Al Sadr a "legitimate Iraqi spokesman" and my blood pressure soared.

He is a depressing but dangerous man who undermines our troop morale, aids and abets our enemy, and has practice with doing so!

Well, while we are hating people....

I remember when I was little I said that I hated someone to my Grandmother. She said , 'lysie, you must never hate anyone. You can dislike that person but you must not hate.'

God love her. I think today she would say....hate away, lysie..hate away. LOL

I have Fox News on (muted, while I listen to Rush). They just cut away for an "alert," but in what I saw of Kerry, I didn't see a single person in the audience with a flag.

I agree with you, my heart went out to these people who had suffered so grievously. However, as many have stated here, wanting the truth about what happened in order to prevent another occurrence is not what these people want. They want power to influence future events whether political or media driven, that is what they want.

Their behavior is insulting because they are manipulating their status as victims of tragic events to get media exposure to espouse a particular viewpoint and I, for one, resent it.

If I remember correctly, Mom and Dad Bush were on a flight and had to be diverted.

I think they were diverted to Minneapolis. I remember an interview with the former President Bush recollecting how his son asked him, "What are you doing in Minneapolis!?" and pappa said he told his son, "We're here because you grounded our plane." ;)

I recall seeing Olympia Snowe a couple of months back strongly defending Bush's policy in Iraq on some cable news show. Whenever I see someone talking about "I'd rather have a true liberal instead of a RINO," these points need to be remembered.

Yes. Clarke's memo was NOT a plan. And, it is not the ONLY memo he wrote, either.

Two main things:

Clark said he gave Condi a plan. Two, he said that Bush did not act on the plan that Clinton gave him. There was no plan in that instance either.

Tammy--

Is everything OK???

I thought Dr. Rice did just wonderfully! I can't remember exactly who testified when, so don't know who you saw.

Kerry was an absolute a** to her. He started off with his own little "speech" about how he thought what was going on in Iraq was not what we should be doing . . . just totally off the subject.

Then a little later he had the ba**s to complain that Condi was fillibustering so she didn't have to answer his questions. He had asked for a TITLE of some memo--it was something about attacks on America--but then he wouldn't let her explain what the memo contained. WELL, she sure showed him, INSISTING that she got to answer, and did.

Kerry was just about exploding by the time it was over. (tee hee!)

One of the final guys (don't rem. his name, but a good guy) asked a whole series of questions, like, "Were you informed of . . . . " As I understand it was info the Clinton admin. should have given her. Her answer to probably at least 10 questions like that in a row, was "NO".

I think/hope/pray that the overall effect was positive; she did an outstanding job answering the hostile questions. And she made sure she answered the questions as much as SHE wanted to . . .

Thanks for posting. Americans, of whatever political party, should be proud of Doctor Rice. She is the perfect symbol of why people will risk their lives to come here.

You really can be all you can be in America.

Many 9-11 victim family members attempted to convert the tragedy of that fateful day into a monetary bonanza for themselves. OTOH, I know some people who are associated with WallSt and they tell me there were several widows they know of, who didn't get jacks**t from Cantor Fitzgerald following their husbands murders. It cuts both ways.
