In a demoralizing message to U.S. soldiers serving in Iraq, visiting New York Sen. Hillary Clinton told them that Americans back home are growing increasingly skeptical of President Bush's decision to send them into battle.
Describing two meetings with G.I.s over turkey dinners in Baghdad, Sen. Clinton told reporters later that soldiers wanted to know "how the people at home feel about what we are doing."
Clinton said she told the troops, "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies."
She also suggested that the U.S. could eventually loose the war in Iraq, contending, "We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured."
Despite her sour pronouncements, the former first lady insisted that the soldiers were just as glad to see her as they were President Bush, whose surprise visit less than 24-hours earlier was greeted with standing ovations.
"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters, adding, "the troops [also] seemed to appreciate seeing myself."
Speaking from a secure location just over the Kuwaiti border, Mrs. Clinton launched one verbal salvo after another at the White House, arguing that Bush officials had been "obsessed" with getting Saddam Hussein and saying the perception blinded them to the difficulties of deposing his regime.
"The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter."
The top Democrat also reprised her charge that the White House is being less than candid when it comes to apprising the American people of the costs of the war.
"The obstacles and problems here are much greater than the administration usually admits to," she said, adding, "Everybody has to be honest."

Sedition Acts of 1798 and 1918........do they still apply or are they just blue laws these days ? Didn't J.Edgar Hoover use these laws in the 50's and more recently used by US attorney against the terrorist suspects being collected up under that same law and "held" for questioning in the fight against pisslam and the muslimaniac's ??

That remains one of my all-time favorite pics of the x42 creature.
I just wanted to point out that CENSOR is what FR has an obligation to do to people who make death threats against senators.
CENSURE is what the Senate has an obligation to do to Senators who make demoralizing remarks against soldiers and their CinC in warzones.
CENSOR. CENSURE. PLEASE don't count on the spell checker on this one. :-)
Thank you.
I'd thank you even more if we succeed in getting her censured or censored or .... (censored.)

I think we should be demanding that both Senators be referred to the Ethics Committee and removed from Armed Services. I just read his comments as well. Both deserve censure and IMO removed from having anything to do with Armed Services. Personally they both deserve to be kicked out of the Senate.

I found the same thing and I was asking any lawyers here to say what they thought. Those are the latest I can find as well. It reads to be like she and Reed should be charged!

Can Hillary bin Laden (Al-Qaeda, NY), be censured by the United States Senate for making these statements during a time of war? If so, LET'S GET TO IT!"Censure"? Didn't we learn anything by NOT removing Bill Clinton from office? She shoud be tossed out of the Senate NOT censured.
Miss Piggie used the taxpayers money and her own Secret Service detail to go to a war zone and demoralize the troops with her LIES and innuendoes.
This P.O.S is a member of the U.S. Senate..and should resign immediately...but she has no class or sense of shame.
I loathe her.

"It's a positive for the commander-in-chief to visit troops in the field," Clinton told reporters That's the ONLY soundbite they showed her saying on TV - nothing else! Damn biased media!

but my hatred for this woman grows unhealthy... The ancient Vedas state that to feel loathing for evil purifies the heart... Go for it! My heart must be completely purged by now.
To: thesummerwind
There are not enough words to express my anger at this treasonous witch. I called and left a message at the ethics committee's number expressing my outrage and asked if anyone there had the balls to do anything about this woman! I am following this with a fax.
How Dare She Do This!!!! Communist!!!!!

Time out on the field. Sen. Clinton "TOLD REPORTERS...."? What the hell is up with that? You mean there were no reporters there to hear the exchange (or exchanges) for themselves? She TOLD reporters what the soldiers asked her????

"We have to exert all of our efforts militarily, but the outcome is not assured." suggesting that they'll lose in Iraq and die. "Americans are wholeheartedly proud of what you are doing but there are many questions at home about the (Bush) administration's policies." suggesting that the American people's support is fading. The Pentagon tried to make do with as few troops as possible, as light a footprint as they could get away with," Clinton said. "Now, we're playing catchup . . . Unfortunately, I don't think they fully appreciated the conditions we would encounter." suggesting their bosses are failures who don't care about their lives.
That is exactly how I read it too.

Can you even believe that witch has the freaking nerve to say everyone has to be honest? She and her slime bucket husband are habitual liars and we all know this. I am shaking with anger!!!

Half of the so called reporters and 90% of the Rat %inators would be guilty if this law was involked.
Also, basically every newspaper editor and publisher would be guilty as well as every talking head on the evening news, their bosses and their networks owners.

I am just one of many freepers, but if this isn't a call to action against this woman, I don't know what is. Is this not 10 times more important than getting the Reagan movie off of CBS? Is this not a time to do all we can to publicize the remarks of hillary clinton, force this story into the mainstream and stop this vicious, power-hungry woman? Or shall we just sit here and type? This thread needs to gather steam over the rest of the weekend.
People are still dozing from the tryptophan-laced Thanksgiving meal (although this article is enough to wake up the dead).
This has to be sent to Fox. I'll bet David Asman (former Marine and father of a Marine) and John Gibson would push it forward.
To: thesummerwind
Soldiers wanted to know when the wide-load was going to press her fat cakes back on her broomstick and fly away! They also wanted to know if her overly-larded ankles would have a negative aeronautical effect on her broom flight. LOL!!! Thanks for putting Ms. Hillary's trip into perspective.
