Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz is making a three-day campaign lap around the state, with stops in 14 cities.
âI just want to say thank you all for being here. Thank you for standing up. Iâm here asking for your support, asking for your help. We are building a grassroots army,â Cruz said to conclude an appearance at the Windrow restaurant in Creston on Saturday afternoon.
Wally Miller of Creston was there to show his support for Cruz.
âHeâs the only one that makes sense,â Miller said, adding he has a screening test for candidates. âWhen I look at someone, would I trust them with my grandkids or my chores? And I would.â[continued]

Is that why Cruz voted for TPA?
To: Marcella
Majority of republican voters polled disagree with you.

Interesting is some polls stating that more Republicans see Cruz as ‘ready’ to be Commander-in-Chief than any of top five candidates. ...and Cruz is great on Foreign Policy issues....both which will be a major consideration in selecting a candidate with the security issues as they are here and worldwide....not to mention the mess of conflicts Obama leaves in his path out of office.

Trump, the whiner girlie boy, has no appeal to me.Low info voters and certain ethnic minorities hold great animosity toward successful white males. That's why they always refer to them as "bitches". In the small minds of uneducated street folk, the greatest insult you can hurl at a white male is to address him as a woman or some variant thereof. So it's nice that you let us know what you are.

So, you assert that Mr. Trump is more undisciplined than- Harry, Nancy, Barbara, Hillary, Kerry, Biden, Jimmy, Gerald, Spiro, Byrd, Schumer, Gore, Bernie and Moonbeam. Just to mention, a few.
Who is your “wisdom guru”, on the US political scene?
Other than yourself, of course.

Why did he a constitutional scholarship vote for the Corker ammendment?

IQ? I would rather have wisdom. A wise man can control his mouth. Trump has the most undisciplined mouth in American political history. I think you confuse simply being a normal human being with "undisciplined." Nobody will vote for a robotic candidate when they can have a flesh and blood man in the white house.

"Long-distance bicyclist."
Obama also likes to ride his bicycle, so does Kerry. Maybe you three should pair up and ride together - don't forget the cute helmet. Bye.

I don’t believe that YOU appeal to many; on any level.
To: 2ndDivisionVet
More wishful thinking. You’d almost think the GOPe was behind Cruz. Maybe he is their guy, or at least he is owned by some big money interest paying his way. That are GOPe. Look at national polls where Cruz is down at the bottom with everyone not named Trump.

Yeah, that’s why the majority here on Free Republic, including myself and the site owner are backing Ted Cruz.

You over reach. Seems that Jim expresses warm support, even cheers for Trump. Never seen similar for Cruz. Yes, others think he’s the greatest but seriously, can anyone show he has any support beyond that narrow niche? He is a martyr at best, one with some very troubling and hypocritical positions and disliked by the GOP more than even Trump. If you look at the broader polls, Cruz remains down near 5%. I keep asking, does everyone want a martyr or a winner?
