Jeb Bush has dropped into sixth place as real estate and TV billionaire Donald Trump is maintaining his lead in the Republican presidential campaign field, a new poll shows.
In the Pew Research Center survey released Friday, 4 percent of likely GOP primary voters pick the former Florida governor as their first choice for the nomination; 25 percent select Trump, 16 percent choose retired pediatric neurosurgeon Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio tie with 8 percent, and 6 percent name Texas Sen. Ted Cruz.
"At this stage of the 2016 presidential campaign, key issues divide both Republican and Democratic voters, and early candidate preferences reflect some of these cleavages," Pew writes.
The poll finds 25 percent of potential Republican primary voters don't mention a first choice at this point....

Jeb has zero or less.
There is no way he can be elected President. No way.
Hasta luego Yeb!
The GOPe and the CoC hope this dead-man-walking dope pulls a “Lazarus” and springs back to political life with a 50% larger brain.
Cleavages?
So long as Jeb has the backing of the RNC and the CofC he is the top candidate. Poll %s are irrelevant. Pew and Reuters cannot manipulate the requirements for the Primaries or the superdelegates at the Convention. The RNC/CofC does.
He knows something we all know or at least surmise if we think about it.
Hey Heb! Good plan - Win the primary without the support of the base. You’ve got the second half of that plan down perfectly.
Yeah, but how is he doing vs. Sanders and Clinton in the Democratic primary?
I'm standing behind my longstanding prediction of a third party run by HRC-Jeb (or Jeb-HRC) on some kind of "national unity/can't we all just get along" ticket, a la Bell-Everett in 1860.
His Dad walked back the Reagan Revolution and ended up losing to Clinton. His brother surrendered to the left and paved the way for Obama. How divorced from reality can Jeb and his minions be to expect frustrated conservative voters will vote for arguably the most left wing of all the Bushies?
Reminds me of a Seinfeld episode. George was being humiliated by a guy in his office, so George thought long and hard about a zinger he could unload on the guy.
When the right moment came, George confidently rose up from the conference table and looked his nemesis in the eye and said, “Oh yea, well the jerk store called and they're all out of you.” No one laughed, it completely fell flat and backfired.
“Put on your Big Boy Pants”...LMAO!
God, I hope you and I are wrong ...
Lots of ads on Boston TV for “Jeb” and “Hillary”. That’s how they’re billed. Whew! For a minute I thought Bush and Clinton were running. :) A bit scared to use their surnames...?
They arent called “superdelagates” on the GOP side as far as I know but the Party Chairman and RNC Committeeman and Committeewoman from each state/territory are all automatically delegates, some states pledge them, some (most it would seem) dont.
In 2012 the number of these GOP delegates that were unpledged was 126, 5.5% of the delegate total, insignificant compared to the 19% of democrat delegates that were unpledged superdelegates in 2008.
But good point, Jeb is still dangerous.
Get rid of Bush,Rubio,Fiorina and the losers with 1 or 0 percent and let the rest fight it out and I would be happy.
What I see s the establishment and chamber of commerce getting behind pretty boy fairy Rubio,he is a Rino Fraud as well as Fiorina, forget that idiot Bush
Watch the crybaby piubies fall in line behind the rats, showing thier true colors
